Humidity too high!

I know how to bring the humidity up but i have the opposite problem, my humidity is to high. How can i bring it down. It is a glass viv with a uth.

A picture would help but a few rips are make sure the water dish is on the cool side, if you are using a large water dish than look into switching to a smaller one and when I had this problem a few years ago, I ran a fan over the Viv. so that it was blowing any moist air rising through the screen top away. Just out of curiosity, how high is your Viv.'s humidity?

Why do you think it is too high?

I wouldn't loose any sleep over too much humidity. These snakes are native to the southeastern U.S. where the normal humidity range is 70-90% for much of the year. :)

The humidity is 67% and i have heard it should be between 40% and 50%. I have only set the viv up 2 days ago and it was this reading before i put a water bowl in. Wanted to get the heating right before putting my corn in . Am planning on putting the corn in today.

Sometimes the hydrometer are off, dpends on the brand. What are the surounding levels reading? (in the house, outside).
I wouldn't worry to much at 67%. If the house and outside are the same
(67%) not much you can do.

LOL, I really think this is a bit of a overreaction, I wouldn't worry too much about 67%. When I overreacted to a high humidity, it was getting close to 80%, I freaked out for nothing and eventually it dawned on me that corns are indigenous to Florida... than I relaxed a bit.

The humidity where I live is often 80-90%. We find corns out by the barn and in the shed, and they seem quite healthy. I don't tend to sweat the humidity unless I start seeing problems with the snake's skin.

Mine are kept with 60-70%, and are doing fine, as long as the temps are correct, you'll do just fine....

Twelve posts in and still no answer... LOL
Ventilation is the answer your looking for....
To lower the humidity, make another hole....
Keep doing that until you have the humidity you are looking for...
But as everyone has already said.... Don't worry too much about it.. They are quite resilient little snakes...

Ok thanks everyone. Humidity ok then will stop worrying. And snakewispera snr, Thirteen posts in and still no answer.... as stated, its a glass viv with a mesh top. Got a glass cutter anyone' lmao :twohammer
