Hypo ashy / cinder boy

He is amazing. I want one as well.
Is this the first Hypocinder in this world?
Because I only knew of 2 AmelZ and some cinders so far.

Rich hatched two hypo cinders last year, and I am sure some more this year, and Carol possibly has a couple too so this isn't a world first. As far as I know it's first outside of the US though, but who knows what people have hiding away!

Poor Angus. I hope he turns up. Of course, Nige will not go without reaping the benefits of this clutch aswell :p

to be honest, it wasnt about that. My female wasnt going to be ready this year, and i heard Toyahs story so offered my male. I sent him up 400 miles without ever meeting or speaking to her.
Seeing as you mention rewards, the pair were over 1000 pounds to get here as tiny TINY yearlings... i have lost a few from the US on imports, and sometimes its one of a pair that cost a fortune, which makes the other one worth hardly ever thing in monitory terms.
With the current UK market bombing, what would a cinder be worth now? 1000? i bet i wouldnt get more than 200... so its certainly not all about the money, as long as things generally pay for themselves i am pretty happy.
I am over the moon with this clutch, although i doubt the hypo cinder will ever leave scotland.. i'll have to wait a year for mine, although we shoukd have better odds as my female is now big enough, an ofcourse maybe baby hypo cinder will be the father (unlikely, but possible).
anyway, thanks Toyah, ou did all the hard work.

Congrats to both breeders;-)
A truely awesome clutch...

Im really excited to see what you end up with, male/female wise....

WOW, What a Beauty! I love the Pale one with the Dark eyes Too. Not Fond of the Pink eyes at all.
Congrats on The Beautiful Hatchling.

Now see that He/She eats and grows up big and Strong. :D

Holy Moly! This is at least the first Hypo Cinder I've seen pictures of. ;)

Huge congrats on producing such a milestone snake!

Cinders for me: :puke02:

Hypo cinders for me: :licklips::D:cheers::dancer::bowdown:

That thing is stunning. It's also the first cinder morph I've thought "I need one of those".

i guess to be honest i should give Rich Z a shout really... anyone can breed corn snake, i always say there is only one difference between a 20$ snake and $2000 snake, you 'crap yourself more as the eggs go bad' lol..
so Rich did all the hard work in creating the morph.
But i have to say, only from pictures, i do prefer our one to the ones i saw of Richs last year :) so light and pretty

Cinders seem to polarize people like that - they're not universally liked by a long shot! Personally I think the combinations are going to make them "must-haves".

So far I think we just have the amel cinder and the hypo cinder out there as combinations - but they both seem to be much more desired than the cinders themselves!

After looking up Rich Z's post from last year I would be surprised if yours is only a Hypo Cinder. Yours is incredibly pale in comparison. Beautiful snake!

no we know, we know rich had a couple last year. maybe he had some more this year?
i also agree with the 'only a hypo cinder' comment.. i havent seen the snake in the flesh and wont do for some time, but it really is a hell of a difference to richs hypoc

Is there any charcoal, anery, or lavender in the mix? What a bonus that would be!

Well there were 19 babies in the clutch - normals, hypos, and cinders. There are a few different looking cinders ... I posted photos on another thread: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72288

None of them look like standard anery or charcoal to me (though admittedly apart from having them out for photos I haven't looked at them too much yet), but we'll see what they're like when they shed. If there was a third recessive in the mix I'd expect to have got one or two of them as well as the other morphs?

Perhaps if my hypo cinder was a normal cinder he'd be one of the pale phases, and maybe Rich's were based on the dark phase?

I'd be interested to see what Rich had to say, maybe he hasnt had time yet, but maybe even an updated photo of his one would be cool.

I did PM Rich when they hatched, and he said it was probably a hypo cinder, but he certainly doesn't remember if there were other genes in that mixture somewhere.

there is a small chance my keys het cinder bloods will breed next year. the female is 100 or so grams, but everyone knows i breed later than most, so she will have a few months extra feeding with no hibernation. i guess someone will have done this one this year already?, going on the look of the hets the actual cinder bloods are going to be amazing.
