Hi All, Just another question! Bought this as a Hypo Lavender Motley ph Caramel,Bloodred! But was told it could poss be an Amber Lavender Motley ph Bloodred!

Just wanted your opinion as i think it is more looking like an amber lavender after looking into it!

Just know you guys over the water are well ahead of us in the uk and thought someone might have one in they collection!

In my opinion, neither! I would say Ghost Motley. I don't see any signs of lavender. Maybe Caramel could be hidden under but I would not bet money on it being Lavender at all. Just my opinion.

Curious who did you buy from in the UK?
 
Hi, Its defo not a ghost! Its either a Hypo lavender Motley ph Caramel, Bloodred or Amber Lavender Motley ph Bloodred! I have seen Amber Lavenders which are a similar colour but not a motley one!
 
I have to agree with Justin on this one. It sure looks more like a ghost motley than a hypo lavender motley to me as well. And as for being homozygous caramel, anery masks caramel and from what I have seen from known caramel lavenders/amber lavenders, it doesn't look like either of those. IMO.
 
I suppose i could see it as a amber lav mot. That certainly would explain the yellow coming in the neck, which would be caramel showing through, but i cant tell what color the pupils are. Typically, lavs have ruby pupils, and with hypo in the mix, those things should be glowing red. I just dont see it.

Thank you susan, Just the parents where Hypo het Caramel, Lavender Motley X Hypo het Caramel, Lavender, Motley, Bloodred! But now you both said that they may of turned out to be het anery too which might make it a Ghost Motley or Lavender Ghost Motley?

Will check with the breeder and see what else came from the clutch!

Little update on the parents!

There is no sign of any Anery in the clutch! In the clutch there was amber diffused motley, amber motley, hypo lavender motleys etc

So he must be a Hypo Lavender Motley ph Caramel Blood Or Amber Lavender Motley ph Bloodred!

My 2 cents I dont like the yellow that is creeping My vote goes for anery in the mix
The yellow isnt effecting the entire body such as the caramel gene normaly does unless masked entirely

Caramel dont always effect the entire boby as Anery Caramels only has the yellow on the neckline!

He is worth every penny even if he was a ghost motley het lavender caramel ph bloodred! But i own a few ghosts motleys het lavender and none looked like this guy!

Just need to find someone who own a Amber lavender motley to compare him with! But at the moment i can only find Amber Lavenders!

I'd say post more pictures of the baby after a couple more sheds to see where he is at. Pretty one either way.
 
Now that I compare your photo with my photo, check out the eyes. My ghost has a blue eye and your picture has a blue eye. The Hypo Lavender Motley pic from Ian's shows a reddish eye.

I'm sorry Doogle...unless I'm totally crazy I have to stick with Ghost Motley.

I have amber anery and amber anery blood from this year, I can see similarities... although you say there is no anery?.. so not sure on that.
I wouldnt like to guess to be honest, but knowing who (I think anyway) that you got it from, then I know you wont have paid a stupid price.
worth keeping for sure though dude.

Yeah was a good price and i am happy with him as thing he has something different anout him! Maybe not Amber Lavender Motley looking at the pics fyrefocks just showed me! Didnt want to rule it out till i saw one! LOL

Gonna ckeck with steve about the Anery again but he said there was no sigh on anery in any of the clutch?

I must agree mate they are stunning! I actually prefer the Anery Amber as she is such a clean looking snake! I Will have to pop down to see what she looks like now!
