I am in the worst situation - please help

I'm with Beth and Kathy. Diatomaceous earth would have been a far safer solution for you, your roommates, Peanut and the cat. Now you have pesticide residue lingering in your home. I've personally used Diatomaceous Earth with great success on over a dozen rescued kittens that were covered in fleas. By containing the kittens to a small room like the bathroom, I was able to eliminate their fleas in less than a week and prevent the rest of the house from being infested. Throwing the cat outside definitely wasn't the answer. Congrats on finding Peanut though. I have an escapee that tape won't work for because everytime I put it down my cat runs by and yanks it off.

I really believe by reading all of her posts that she wanted to do those other things but she couldnt talk the roommate out of bombing the place. So unless we go strangle the roommate for being royal pain in the butt. I don't think anything said would have changed it.

O.M.G. PEANUT WAS FOUND!!!! :crazy01: I was at work today and I got a call from my roommate! Before she bombed the place with flea killing chemicals, she had to unplug all of the appliances...when she went to unplug her old mini-fridge in her room (kept closed with DUCT TAPE) she found him stuck on the tape!!!! This was MINUTES before she nuked the place! I was so lucky and I am so happy! He was taken to a friends place while our apartment aired out. Now I am off work and going to pick my little baby up!

Thank-you all for your support! Do you think that I should clean his terranium/bedding before I put him in? I am going to feed him and then celebrate!

YAY! that's awesome! :) I know you're feeling so relieved-congrats :)

I have been following this story since it began, and I can tell you how relived I feel with you. When you lose a snake, especialy your only one, It has a huge impact. :D :D :D

He was soooo cold. Luckily, it is hot out here so i just let him bask in the sun for a bit...awww I'm just so happy he is back! When I woke up he was poking his head out from underneath his rock. I missed that little face so much!

Wow that is great.Ive lost a few snakes but have also found a few again. Not all the losses were my fault, thanks to a "snake sitter"..

I just lost my own hatchling. Fortunately for me, she just appeared this morning when someone walked into the house. Unfortunately for you, that means I can't give good advice. Was he eating the pinkies you were putting out? If not, he might not be in the apartment anymore. My girl was found down two floors and on the other side of the house. We have two kittens, and neither of them ever found her.

I would look into the flea-bomb. I don't know much about them, but I'm sure there is information out there about whether or not they harm snakes. If there's a type that doesn't, maybe you can compromise with your roommates and ask them to use that one? Getting fleas out before they become a huge probably is pretty important, not only to your own health, but also that that of Peanut.

Other than that, painters tape is a good idea.

I'll keep you and Peanut in my thoughts! Hope you find him!

Peanut was found on the 24th just before the roommate bombed the place, so there are 2 success stories...yours and Peanut's.
