I want to find non hot wild snake soooooooooo bad. all the ones are find are ( and I hate seeing this makes me sad that he does) in a bunch of pieces because my dad hit it while mowing or a bunch that people hit on the road :(

I haven't seen any wild snakes around my house yet, but I did notice a snake trail once they filled in the irrigation berm for the pecan tree's behind my house. I hope to find it one day, though I am sure the guy is in the wood pile or under all of the pine needles, I just do not know why type he is, and do not wish to be digging around and get tagged by a rattler.

With all of our dogs, we never see much in the way of wildlife that they could catch, AND, we don't have cornsnakes in the wild, here. So I am jealous. REALLY jealous! Pretty little thing :).

Eric, If my wife and I can find a job she will be going to New York with a couple of her friends and I will be going to Louisiana. Maybe we can get a group together and go herping while I am down there. I have caught a couple of live corns where I used to live, that was back when I used to call them chicken snakes. I will have to call around, but I am pretty sure I can get onto a summer camp that we used to find snakes on all the time as kids.

The only thing I've caught/ seen out here are those 'ol Gartersnakes! Sometimes when I see one and it's already gone before I can even think about catching it, I'm really not to disappointed, considering that when you catch a Gartersnake, you're reminded of it all day due to the smell that just won't come off!
:grin01:

When I was in texas The only snakes I saw was a TON of Water Moccasins a few Copper heads and I seen a what every one around there called a Green racer. Dont know what its really called but thats the only name I knew for it lol. I neer saw any Corn snakes when I was there. And up here, well lets just say it would be a Cornsicle lol. We have no reptiles up here at all.

I think it would be pretty cool to find a corn snake in the wild :D Just becarefull you could find a HOT snake as well.
