I Got A Really Bad Bite!

Do you think he has a bad bite?? :shrugs:

Trying to catch a big snake under those conditions...
Not the brightest idea. :)

If i had been there at the time I don't think I would have been able to stop myself from telling that guy to shut the hell up! v. annoying :angry01::rofl:

I swear if he said "bad bite" one more time I was gonna kill him...or at least would have if I were there. Pulling a python out by it's tail in murky water..they expected any less?

That video prompted me to check out others though so in the spirit of things check out this one too.

WOW no wonder it hurt look at their teeth. I know I don't want any part of those teeth.

I believe it hurt, but it's his job! That'd be like me running around shreiking "I got pooped on, I got pooped on, that was a really bad poop, that was a really bad poop, I gotta get outta here, that was a really bad poop!"

...Barry Barr is a joke... ugh.
I saw this video months ago and couldn't handle it. He personal re-count of the episode on National Geographic's website is equally horrific. I remember reading somewhere (NG website? youtube?) that he had reported the snake as being over 20 ft long... does that Retic look 20 feet to you?

True but I can imagine you thinking it. lol Or even think, my god, what did he eat last night??

Old time herpers in our herp club laugh at him and find him to be an idiot. What I love about his shows is that if you watch the people around him, they look at him like WTF is wrong with this guy?? its amusing.

LMAO.....He's brilliant, I haven't laughed so much in ages...Any video's of him with King Cobras?...LOL
At least he makes the rest of us look good...

And the water was really only waist deep (they were kneeling in it) when they really squatted down.

Yep, same thoughts here, that'd be like me screeching 'oh he's bleeding, there's so much blood, it's a bad bleed, a bad bleed, help!'

Point taken Nanci. I was paying less attention to him and his job and more on the ability of the snake to defend itself.

Nah...it wasn't an African Rock python, it was a reticulated. Teeth aren't *quite* that big. Still hurts, though, I'm sure...

And there is no way that 'tic was 20feet...it was skinny...just a sub-adult, from what I could see...maybe 8-10', but no where near 20'...
I didn't pay close enough attention, but the teeth on that rock python are pretty intimidating. If a retic is even similar I would not want to experience it. :spinner:

Agreed! He should have done less whining and more trying to control the snake to try prevent the bite.

wow, what a poser. acting like he knows snakes.....i know i'm not much better, but he was such a wuss, sure it'd hurt bad, but he doesnt have to keep complaining

why exactly are those 2 morons in the dark, with the bats asking for trouble in the first place?
Who is Barry Barr, is this a weekly escapade for him?
