I have an idea for raising the humidity

So the easy way to maintain humidity is to cover the screen lid of the viv with a LOOSE sheet of plastic wrap- just laying on it, not sealed, and then mist as needed.

I have found, since I have started using sterilite boxes for snakes, that they maintain moisture much better than screen top tanks. They make shedding time easy. Its because a sterilite with holes has much less airflow than a screen top. The sterilites just lock in the humidity from a mist, even to the point of developing moldy apen if you over-mist. When a snake goes blue just one mist and those plastic boxes will hold that humidity for a clean shed. I just recently set up a nice 105qt sterilite for my brumating female. Its all clear so it looks nice and I got it locked down with heavy duty office clips.

Nanci's suggestion is a good one to hold the humidity in. I'm using 20L Critter Cages and I lay a small piece of plexiglass on top of the screen which covers about 1/2 the top. It allows for air flow but helps hold in humidity.
