I have been waiting for this day. My first bite that actually drew blood!
Chaos, my 03 cream tagged me and I have to say, that if I didn't see it happen, I wouldn't have known. Heck, I've had paper cuts that hurt more than this!

Pour some beer on it every hour for the next day or two....

To help reduce the pain.

You'll be fine :sidestep:

I my self can prodly say that I have never even gotten a smal nibbel ore anything.. :grin01:

In some cultures, you would only now be considered a man. You have passed the test and become a true member of the snake clan.

All hail...

That looks nasty! That would put me off snakes for life... :grin01:

Congrats (I think) on your christening! I was christened last week too. I had a blood-drawing bite too. Occupational hazard. :grin01:

OMG Mike, did you go to the emergency services at the hospital for that?? Were they able to save your hand??

I think what Lennycorn meant was to "drink" a beer every hour for a few days as well as the pain killers but remember, you can't drive, m'kay?

I have very proud to say that since December 05 (I know, a very very long time) I was never tagged even though she rattled a lot, I think it is mainly trying to impress me which it doesn't.

Keep us updated on your extremely serious injury and please, please, should you pass out, make sure you are not around sharp objects. :crazy02:

I don't want to be a man, but about that snake clan membership ... Does a pinprick of blood and a ton of itching from a pet store kingsnake bite count? :grin01:

When I read the title I felt sorry for you becasue I thought you got 'smoodged' and here it was just a little drop of blood. When you get out of the hospital be sure to let us all know. :roflmao: susan

I heard that for these kind of injuries you can stay up to 6 months in hospital... :grin01:

I'm glad that grievous injury hasn't caused you too much suffering, Mike. That evil sunkissed of mine draws blood so frequently that I'm beginning to suspect that he works for the Red Cross. :grin01:

What, how long are you into snakes?! I am for a year and had like 3 or 4 drawing blood.....
On and off for over 20 yrs. This go around has been since November 2003.
I should have specified, that this was the first bite since I got back into the game. I have always prided myself on being able to "read" a snake. However, the beer and brandy had me ignoring the vigorous tail rattling! :grin01:

Oh, and the doctor said I'll be fine :crazy02:

I'm glad to hear that, I was really worried about you!!!

Can you believe that lil 8" POS evil hybrid I bought does that to me? I can't get my hand anywhere near her without her without her chomping on me. Nasty little thing. Maybe that's why she's getting traded for a crestie?!? :twoguns:
