I have nothing against your stance Elle, but "If you don't want her for the beautiful creature she is, then don't buy her. " is, at least in my opinion, a sentence heavily strewn with hints of criticism/and or implying that I in-fact buy her just for her "breeding potential".
You present it as very black and white... you also still using terms such as "businessman"- I think a person can be a good keeper and care for his animals -and- be excited about their potential as breeders... why must the two collide?
I know I am actively encouraging people to get the best possible boas here, and try to make sure they get good prices- thus actually creating myself "competition"- I think that serves as some measure of proof that the hobby is more important to me than the financial aspect of it.
As I was to be able to own beautiful morphs, I also must take into consideration the fact that they tend to come with quite the hefty price-tag- which means I need to somehow get said funds.
I am hoping to make a living by doing what I am passionate about... genetics is also something I really like... and sorry if you didn't mean it, but the words you choose definitely seem to leave an impression of an underlining opinion.
IMHO, you can't blame me for getting the impression I did. Maybe I am too sensitive about your choice of words.
