So I fed my little beasts Friday morning, let them rest Friday, Saturday, and stared cuddling again Sunday night. Most of them had pooped by now, so I do clean and cuddle time.. So I noticed on the couple of bigger girls, they looked a little fat, almost over weight. If they had been a boa I would have said they were pregnant (had the flat tire effect). I had my diffused opal out (only one with no name yet). And I was like am I over feeding them? Is it parasites? she feels a little squishy.. So I was working myself up in my head wondering if I had missed something health wise... She is slithering around my hands, all of a sudden she freezes, I look towards her butt, and I see it slowly opening.....

I got her into her bin in the last second... That was a proper poop too... after that she looked much much better....

Noob move!

Poor snake, being squeezed all over when she had to go... Mean mommy..

Yep, this is why I wait FOUR days before holding them! One will ALWAYS hold out and wait for you to get comfy!

Thanks for the laugh (not AT you, just laughing NEAR you!!!)!

I always check my snakes' for poop and my snakes themselves for that telltale lump at the base of their tail when I handle them for the first time after feeding, lol. If they've still got a bulge by their tail, I either don't handle them until they go, or I put a thick towel over my lap and let them crawl on that, lol. I've been pooped on before when Kaa was little, it was gross enough then, now that 3 of the 5 are 3 feet and over, ugh, no way!

My worst was I had showered and was smellin' quite purty, fresh clean sheets and blankets, new sleep tank shirt, I snuggle in with her and she has explosive diarrhea all over ANYTHING clean and fresh! :awcrap:

Sigh, yes, I am a woman of simple needs, one of my favorite things to do is take a really scrubby shower with those sloughing gloves, put clean PJs on, climb into totally clean, soap and mild bleach smelling sheets and blankets and curl up with a kiddo to watch Judge Judy reruns. (DO NOT judge 'cause I have no life!)

Little Frog, thanks for laughing at/with me, I think it is pretty funny too! If you can't poke fun at yourself, you will never have a sense of humor others can appreciate.

lol I am glad Im not the only sucker...
and Smigon Im no judging, I have no life either.. it's all my animals.. I can completely relate and you guys can laugh at me...

I am just glad it was poop buldge and not something serious cause I got worried over the "swelling"... lol
