I miss my babies...

This summer is when I got into cornsnakes, and since June have purchased 6.

But they all got taken away from me. My fiance cut it off with me (won't give me a reason why), and they are all at his house. Since pets aren't allowed at my place, I can't take them. I miss them so freaking much! I've watched Loki grow from smaller than my pinkie to bigger than my thumb, and now he's gone...

Along with my cats, Moon and Ember, and my mice...

Hard for me to feel sorry for you because if you can't have them then they were never yours in the first place. Sounds to me like your ex-fiance was the one taking care of them and you were just a visitor.

She said she can't have them at her new place. I don't think it sounds like they were taken away per se', just she can't have them at her current place.

Do you think you could sneak them in? my apartments are VERY lax! I'm supposed to have 2 cats and I have 4 - they don't say anything. The girls in the office know, the maintenance man knows, plus I had my bearded dragon and parakeets. I know, that is a lot for an apt, but I can't even understand why an apartment would care if it's a caged animal. I'd try sneaking them, but that's me. Apparently I don't listen to rules very well

no, I lived with him. he kicked me out when he ended it.

my new place is super strict. there's no way to sneak them in. I already have a dog, no more allowed...

oh, that's too bad. I'd think snakes would go un-noticed except when maintenance comes in and if he's a nark then you'd get caught but if he isn't (like mine) I don't see how they would know. Unless you live in a house apartment. Mine is a big complex.

I haven't met him, but my neighbors say he's a douche, so I don't want to risk it. ive enough crap to deal with...

I am super sorry! I know what you mean about places not allowing snakes. When we were looking last July we actually had people who refused to allow us to even look at their properties because we were upfront in the apps and told them about our snake business. We were very lucky when we found our current landlord because she had reptiles in the past and was cool with them. Now the problem is the house has developed many issues. It is a 35 yr old house that was empty for a while and the landlord updated it as a flip house with no intentions to rent it but when she couldn't sell it decided to rent it to us. Now the floor joists are rotting out so the floor is dipping and the walls are cracking. Mike has jacked it up twice. The crawl space is large and when Mike went in there to do the jacking he saw there was no insulation...none...so he added some but $75 only covered 1/4 of the space. So when our thermostat says 72 it feels like 62. The crown molding is separating from the ceiling....on and on with little things. I told Mike just to let me tell her to bring someone in to take care of these things but he feels guilty because we told her in the beginning we would try to take care of some of the stuff ourselves. So he wants to move come next July's lease end. But like I reminded him not to many people around here like reptiles.

Good luck with your situation...I hope things change so you can be reunited with your babies

I am really sorry this happened to you...
just be glad you never had a child with him!!

I think many of the world's problems could be solved if women (and men) were pickier about choosing a father (or mother) for their offspring.

Maybe you could ask if you are allowed to have fish tanks, but don't mention what you will PUT in the fish tanks lol.

I don't have any clue if I'm allowed snakes, it never even occurred to me b/c my complex is so lenient. I don't worry about it though. anyhow, why wouldn't someone even care about a snake, he stays in his viv most of the time, what could he possibly hurt?? Much safer to the landlord as far as possible damage than a dog/cat!

The one huge stain I have on my carpet is from my parakeets cuttlebone that had a yellow part on the back and all this yellow dust went on the carpet and I cannot get it out! It's a pretty large yellow stain. oops! who would have thought?

The reason we were given when we were turned down so much was because they were afraid they would escape and get in the walls....my mother in law was not supportive at all because she works in a place that has apartments over top and that happened there and everyone was freaking
She is a hater anyway

The only way they could get in walls was if there were a hole in the wall, I would think! People do freak at snakes, like I do with spiders. But they are totally so sweet! Maybe they would get fiesty with someone they don't know though.
