I Need Help... SRSLY!

I See Snakes...
What kind of help? Some kind of twelve step that doesn't involve the purchase of another new snake. Although, in self defense, this snake was on the list of snakes to get... but I wasn't supposed to look for one like her until 2008. I couldn't pass her up though, because I didn't know when I'd get a chance to find another that was reasonably priced.

So, without further ado, here is Lily the Lovely Lava...

With the addition of Lily, that just about completes our gene pool - leaving only 2-3 genes that we don't have in some way, shape, or form. I'm going to have to make some serious cutbacks on the collection before next year though... just to make room for all of this year's keepers! lol..

Oh, she's pretty! She looks so sweet! You deserved another snake anyway, since Tim got that weird Rockmonkey snake. I can't wait to see progression threads on her!

That seems like a good enough reason to me :) She's a really lovely example too ... would have been silly to wait until 2008 and maybe end up with one that wasn't as terrific as she is!

OH she is stunning!!!!

Sorry I can't help, I can't even pull the "it was on my wishlist anyway" manuevre because my wishlist is so long, it would be easier to list the things NOT on my wishlist!! lol

I personally, don't think you need help, just give in! lol

lol, I'm sure Tim won't see it that way... but this time he did ask me after he first heard of the offer and you can bet I didn't hesitate or even second guess myself on this one! Although, he was a bit disappointed when he learned what I named her!

I completely agree, we've passed up good offers before and then later regretted doing so. I'm definitely happy with her! Well, more then happy! lol

You know, I used to have a wishlist like that. I still do in a way, because there are many combos out there that I don't have, as well as a few more species I'd like to add, but as far as corns go, there isn't much out there that I can't make myself now that I have most of the genes. Opens up a whole new can of worms because it's so hard to pick keepers out of each clutch when the babies are so cute and gorgeous!
I always say....can't go wrong with a Lava! ;)
I'd have to agree with you 100%! I just can't wait to see how her colors develop!

Thanks again for all of the wonderful compliments everyone!

Jenn

Beautiful Snake! Congrats, and of course I can't help you not purchase another! ;)
Thanks! And I wasn't certain how much help I could get on a forum that promotes cornsnakes! lmao
She's gorgeous. Lava eyes kick butt. Congrats Jenn.
I know what you mean about the eyes Dean... Almost as mesmerizing as blue-eyed ghosts, ultramels, and crested gecko eyes!

That's been my focus, too, to get all the genes into my collection so I can pick and choose what to breed each year. And like you, I'm going to have many keepers in the next few years with all the projects I'm starting. Good luck to you!

I don't blame you, I don't think I could of resisted her either!!

Look at it this way - Now you can have a beautiful BIGGER lava rather than a hatchling in 2008.

Right? :D

I think it's amazing you have space for all your animals and time to care for them. If I had as much space and time I'd go just as crazy as you!

I think Lily is a cute name, too!
