i need some advice help :(

Excellent news! Stick to the slow & steady regimen that has been outlined by the non-newbies and your snake will make a full recover.

Damn. my snake even after fed has managed to get out of his viv. i know where's hes getting out from, my viv has 2 sliding doors which in i have to put in the thermostat probe so it has a small opening where he can push it. even with all the tape i stuck on it he managed to push it. now i tried to add vertically to the small opening of the sliding door.

the thing is we saw him going back to his own vivarium by himself climbing down a wire wich leads there. tough now i dunno if he regurged or not when he was out of his viv

Update:

i search around where he got out from but couldn't find any regurgs.
Today i Woke up and he pooped! very small pieces of poop and there was no pink/orange staff but neither urates as far as i can see. I didn't move the viv to take closer looks since im trying not to stress him as much as i can. from what i can tall it pooped soo small bits because he pooped the head i gave him.

Bought a digital scale today, blaze is weighing 24grams so he still didn't loose any weight (well or he lost 1gram since about a month and a half ago on my mother's when i was still home scale he weight 25grams but it wasn't digital.)

btw were is everyone? seems like no one is viewing the thread anymore.

Excellent news! Blaze is holding steady on weight AND he pooped. Keep going with the regurg protocol & in a few months Blaze will be healthy & up to proper size meals. Just don't try to hurry the process lest he regurg again.

I don't know Seamus, we're still here but not as often. I've been busy getting my snakes ready for the beginning of breeding season.

I've just read this, been out of town and when I got back I was very sick as was hubby. No offense meant but we all have lives as well Seamus. I am glad to hear Blaze seems to be maintaining weight and seems to have no pink or orange in the most recent poop. I would suggest you continue on with the protocol and find a way to prevent him from escaping.

Keep updating. Hopefully this will lead to a turning point for him.

I have been watching the updates...

but I have not commented because I didn't have anything to add to the discussion at this point. But I am glad he is doing better - hope he continues to do well.

update,
todday while cleaning blaze's vivarium he urated and it had the orange/pink translucent colour, this time i caught him doing it so now im sure its neither regurgitation , nor poop. when it dried it turned into the usual orange-pink whitish solid which of course its urates cause as i explained last time when scraped off it becomes like dust

I don't know what to tell you Seamus. The color is odd, usually the urates are white. Usually the snake doesn't pass only urates, but then your snake has had very little to eat so it may not have anything else.

I think since you know it is not a regurgitation, I would continue with the light feeding as you have been. I personally would move up to a whole pinkie. I know others will jump in and disagree but I can handle the criticism.

If it really hasn't been regurging, then there's no reason to keep the poor thing on pinkie heads. Be very sure though Seamus, you don't want to risk harming the snake any more. Clearly something is still wrong but if it hasn't in fact been regurging for months (I check this thread to see how things are going and was wondering how the thing was even still alive!) it is good news indeed.

im confused too. i think the one that happened about 3weeks ago was undigested food tough, since it looked like liquified mouse meat. i don't know what to do if feed another pinkie head or move to half pinks. i think i will give another pinky head and then move to half pinks. could this still be a case of undigested food ? is it possible that know one has ever expirienced this? im really confused now

It is possible your snake was passing the mice without digesting them properly when it didn't regurge, when your temperatures were off. Your temperatures are better now, though? If so, hopefully your little snake is on the road to recovery.

I think the forum is torn between the number of pinkie heads to feed in a row. Originally, the standard protocol was 2 pinkie heads in a row before moving up in size, but a more conservative approach has been mentioned here...which is around 4 pinkie heads before moving up.

How many heads in a row has the snake been able to keep down? I've sorta lost track.
