I think I found the perfect cage

ladydragon

My wish list is......
after searching the internet and looking at everything possible.. I think I finally found the perfect cage. They are alot of money, but i think worth the price. I will never have hundreds of snakes so this seems like a nice way of showing off my small but growing collection. Take a look and give me your opinion on them.. besides the price of course :D

thanx.

Well they're very impressive. Make sure this is what you want cuz that sure is expensive but I agree they are gorgeous. I will only allow you to buy this if you promise to take pics once it's installed.

lol.. I promise to take pics.. although it will take me a while before I get one.. thanx

bram - they easily come apart and are lightweight. a few of the other pages shows one person carrying two of the huge ones. And it can be washed out with a hose (another picture showed that), so Im sure setting it by the kitchen sink and using the sprayer attachement will work too. thanx

Cornmommy20 - thanx. I liked some of the other style cages that are out there, but always felt they just werent up to par for me, picky that way. But with these, I can get the cages and stack them nicely without having cords all over the place, lamps sitting on top of tanks, detracting from the overall look of trying to make a natural vivarium. these have a lot of nice features.

arent they? I was searching the web and stumbled across this page. I really liked the design and the potential for setting up natural enviornments for my snakes and still making it look nice in my livingroom. Now I'm just contemplating what size to get. :D

Just be careful with the sliding glass fronts. I have heard that small snakes, hatchlings or thin yearlings, can slip out between the gaps. But if you are housing hefty yearlings or adults, it will be fine.

The rule I have heard is if the snakes head can get through the gap, the body will follow. Lovely cages though!

yeah..that is a good concern, but my first cage will go to my 7 year old ghost corn, and the two 06's, (one I currently have, the other is on its way :D ) will be housed in seperate 10g tanks for the moment. since these cages are expensive I have to save up to get them one at a time. But thats okay, cause it's a good goal to acheive.

Those cages are amazing! If I come back as a snake one day, I want to live in one of those. I won't tell my snakes about them though...........

Im thinking of sending them some email with a few questions. I want to ask them what is the distance between the floor of the cage and the top of the litter dam, what is the gap size between the sliding doors (there is one pic that shows it is pretty tight), and if they do custom sizes and/or alterations to their current sizes. can anybody think of any other questions? thanx. :D

amazing cages, but the sizes! If you want anything bigger than 30 gals, your next choice is 89 gallons! And the two medium sizes are basically the same, same volume and square footage.

That's my only gripe, becuase I want one. But none of the sizes work for me.

Oh my! I love then. Thank you so much for the link Ladydragon. I'm picky too. I don't want to see cords I want it to be easy to clean, easy to stack and look nice. These do just that, plus you can build into a cabinet or the wall. LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE them.. Thanks so much you just saved me hours with my search. Just exactly what i was thinking of. :grin01:

thats why I want to send them email with some questions, one of them being if they do custom sizes.

lol no problem. I wasn't happy with alot of the other stuff I saw out there, until I came across this site. now my brain is calculating how much to put away a week in order to get a few. :D

do you think additional lighting would be needed since it is so enclosed or will the sunlight be sufficient
there is room for two types of light.. a strip light, which sits toward the front of the tank.. and for a domed light, which has a recessed area toward the back of the tank. its pretty neat how they designed these cages.

Very, very cool cages! I never liked the visi0on cages that looked like that but where plastic, but those ones are ingenius! Now if only I could find the money.
