I think I found the perfect cage

OMG I totally would love to have one of those! It's more than just a tank, it's a work of art! :bang: Kinda (okay, REALLY) out of my price range though...my shnake shall never know...;)

What size were you thinking of? And just going to use uth? or do you think it would need over head awell? I was thinking that it might get too hot for over hea heating. What's your thought.

Nice find

They are very nice!! I know what you mean about not wanting to see cords and lights and giving your pet a top of the line home. I got lucky and inherited many of my sister's custom made cages (she is a cabinet maker and kitchen designer so they are works of art) so the price was right. I love to build things myself and I am cheap, but creative. I think with corns you wouldn't need it to be of that material since they don't have to be as humid as some snakes, but it would be perfect for tropical reptiles. I do love the racks I made as far as saving time on feeding and cleaning, but I do have a dream (hopefully this summer!) of making an excercise track for my snakes. It will be at least 5ft long and 12 wide and go in a continuous rectangle so there is never an end. I am planning on putting it on the floor in hopes of getting them to move more. And someday I would like to build stackable ones as well with a work space on top. Thoes are a few ways I plan on spoiling my snakes. I think if you use the right materials you can make a very nice cage for way less the money, but of course the right tools help too. Thanks for sharing the site. If I only had a snake or two, I would for sure consider them, __Twyla

thanx everyone.. they are not exactly in my price range either, but i plan on saving up for them.. one at a time. :D

as for the size, Im not sure yet. Im sort of measuring and pondering what I want. was thinking the 24" for my two (almost three - payment will be sent tomorrow Kocorn) corns. and eventually for my ball python the 48" one. But saving up will give me time to think on which one I want.

Im going to get the 36x24x24 one for my corn when he gets bigger
yeah was flipping coins to decide... either way, is gonna be a nice cage and look nice in my home too (or anybody's home for that matter). I just wish I could find a place around here that has them on display so I could see them in person. Would be neat to see before I buy. maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask. I'll keep everyone posted.

bram - they easily come apart and are lightweight. a few of the other pages shows one person carrying two of the huge ones. And it can be washed out with a hose (another picture showed that), so Im sure setting it by the kitchen sink and using the sprayer attachement will work too. thanx

oh i see and now i would say thats AWESOME :grin01:

They look like the ones I saw in a reptile shop in Miami. They all interlock and lined the walls floor to ceiling, quite impressive to see all different sizes put together like that. They aren't as expensive as I thought either.. more than a 20 long Critter Cage, but worth it if you were just housing a few and wanted them displayed. There are a couple snakes on my list that I won't get until I find some nice display cases, so thanks for the link.

Alright, so I'm a little late on the uptake for this one, but those tanks are amazing. I would love to get my hands on something like that, but, as has been said by several others... my snakes will never know. ;)

Yep they are beautiful and yep my poor deprived snakes will never know about them..LOL

Lady, I would think if your looking for a lifetime use for your snakes you may want to think about the 36" ones instead of the 24, You may feel once your snakes are grown the 24" ones will apear a bit small for an adult corn. Was just something I thought about when looking at them.

yeah, was thinking that as well.. most llikely will end up with the 36".

I don't know what to think about the fact there are no names or addresses attached to their web site. It does make a bit uneasy about buying from them, I couldn't find anything on the BOI either. Anyone know these guys?

(yes, I am considering one for the future. 36" x 24" x 24" seems alright, if a little too high. meh.)

You know what's nice about taller (in proportion) cages- you can get stuff in them easier.

I just sent them email asking a few questions and requesting some local (to me) references. I think its a good designed cage, but I would like to see them in person first. As for it being a little to high... according to the book The Art of Keeping Snakes by Philippe de Vosjoli, he states that enclosures that allow for tall plants and climbing areas are better than low enclosures. He also states that if provided with various height basking sites, after a few days of acclimating, corns will develop daily extended basking sessions on any of those sites. And in Kathy Loves new book, Corn Snakes, The Comprehensive Owner's Guide, she states that corns are semiterrestrial in habit and that larger enclosures that allow a corn to roam and exercise properly are preferable. So Im thinking the height is not wasted space, but a chance for the snake to get exercise on a daily basis, which promotes good muscle tone and overall better health. :)
