Well folks I have been keeping snakes for some time now and everyone said it will happen some time. Well some time happened tonight, my first bite. I have never been bitten by an adult snake ever. This was done by my Female Squishi, hetmet rosy boa. Dean is right, they do give a nice little bite. lol It was a cute kiss, I was more worried about her getting hurt than me.

That's how it is. I always worry about them losing teeth. The last thing I need is a snake with an oral infection from getting teeth yanked out...

I'm surprised this is your first bite from an adult, with the amount of snakes and experience you have. I stopped counting...especially after bringing home my "olfactory impaired" Cali king(i do NOT smell like a mouse...I swear!!)...though I much prefer his bites to the adult Woma that got me at work the other day. They got some chompers on 'em...

You are now a member of yet another proud CS.com "club"...

I too have only been bit once, and its nothin! (took me over a year) Congrats!

Although Chris, I would hate to be bitten by an adult woma... ouch!! An adult blackhead would be soooo much worse though.

Yeah, the rosys do give a nice little bite. And I think they're the only snakes that have left teeth in me. With all your various snakes, I can't believe this was your first bite!

Dean,
I have been struck at but never touched. It has been amazing for as long as I have been keeping herps, this was my first true snake bite. I have been grabbed and bitten by Iguanas in the past and those were some nasty bites.
