If You Could Inherit Anyone's Collection...

Nanci

Alien Lover
whose would it be?

I saw that question on a colubrid page on Facebook, and scrolled through the answers thinking, are you crazy? NO MORE SNAKES!!! But this morning, it crossed my mind again and I had an answer.

Carol Huddleston's collection would be very tempting!

Steve Roylance was a popular answer- but the sheer numbers...Brian Barczyk was also a popular answer. (Did you know he's downsizing, and moving to a smaller facility, so he can pursue his video interests?)

Whose collection would you love to have???

Travis Whisler, hands down. Palmettos galore, western hoggies, and plenty of other goodies. Otherwise it's a toss-up between SR Corns and SMR. Don seems to have some secret thing he's working on, and I want to know what it is!

I'd inherit Steve's collection if it meant I could quit my day job, LOL. But seriously, I might choose Carol's too. Her linebred projects are always amazing. I'm excited to get my thick-bordered Miami from LBR stock.

I'd really want to inherit it if she truly does have a diamond, as they seem very difficult to produce. I don't know if you saw my post on that topic, in the genetics issues subforum.

Hmmm, Carol's or Steve's would be tempting.

Another one would be a local friend of mine. While he doesn't have Cornsnakes, he has a pair of Boelen's Pythons, which are my ultimate snake.

He also has BHP's which are really cool too!

Seriously? I've spent too much time building my own collection, with the snakes I like, to the point where I don't think I'd trade them for anything.
Most of the well known breeders with snakes I covet, supposing I was in their will and got a collection of snakes left to me- I would not want to inherit all their snakes due to sheer numbers unless I also inherited a bunch of $ (since hopefully all these snake breeders kind enough to think of me in their will were also filthy rich and left me some money to quit my full time job and take care of all those snakes!) Far fetched, I know.

I thought of another really nice collection- Dr. Orlando's!!! Just the cornsnakes, though. Although I'm sure the boas are amazing- too much room!!!

Oh no, I wouldn't trade, just inherit. LOL

I am very happy with my current collection.
Someday, I do plan on getting a Boelen's, and then my collection will be perfect. :)

I was thinking along the same lines ... about mine not yours of course :)

I wouldn't swap my collection for anyone else's tbh ..

Just need a Pied Royal and I'm probably done .
