Hey all

Sorry about my lengthy absence (if anyone noticed LOL), I've been really busy with Army and school-related work, and haven't been online much. But I hope to be on a bit more frequently now. Nice to be back! :)

Army training? Anything you can tell us about?
I'm weird, but I loved basic training. Wish I could do it again without winding up in the Army afterwards, lol. Get in shape, eat a lot, shoot guns, road march, field training...
You're going to have a blast Dave, seriously..

Welcome Back Snake Dave! Well, since I was unable to talk you out of joining the army, I hope you are at least having a good time there! And staying safe! Great to hear from you!

Hi Dave... Been wondering how your doing.....
(People... We went to Bristol with Dave in May... He was chunky......
Bumped into him a couple of months ago.... Lean, Mean, fighting Machine.....LOL
Seriously, I nearly didn't recognize him....Well I didn't for a few seconds... Honest....)
How've you been keeping....

Thanks for the warm reception, it's appreciated :)

Sorry Tom, my post was probably a bit misleading. I'm joining the Army as an officer, but I'm training after I finish university. So it'll be a few years yet before I'll experience the many joys of Sandhurst :grin01: But seriously I am really looking forward to it, can't wait. Another one of the reasons why I haven't been here for ages is because I've been getting in shape, I kicked ass on the physical tests (sorry if I'm blowing my own trumpet here)!

Hey Mike, I'm very well thanks mate, how about yourself?

Oh and yeah, I was a porker back then :grin01: Realised I had to change for the Army, and for myself as my self esteem was about the size of a postage stamp. I appreciate the 'Lean, Mean, fighting Machine' description :grin01:

I even did a small shirt modelling shoot a few weeks back LOL, my friends used it as an opportunity to label me as a homosexual for life.

^ I believe it...I've seen pics of the lean and mean....awesome!

Dave!!! ***hugs*** I think about you all the time and wonder how you're doing! How's your mom? How are the snakes? How's school/training, etc etc etc? Catch us up...with details!!!

Oh no, Lori, that picture sucks, that was like a quarter way into my regime and hence progression, I'll have to send you a recent one :)

Thanks Lori :) I was thinking the other day, you know I haven't been on CS.com in AGES, I'll have to pay them a visit. And so here I am :)

My Mum's fine thanks :) She's tired more often these days as she's working a full week, which she finds hard with her condition, but she's managing. So I help in any way I can, you know. The snakes are just great :) growing well, I'll have to get some new pics to show you all how they've grown.

School's good thanks, had a mock interview for university today, and got my predicted grades on Friday. Had a chemistry exam today too, that went really well (I think), but I'll find out tomorrow :grin01:

Training's been great, noticed some really good progression. I can run 1.5 miles in 9 minutes now, and I can deadlift 180kg too. :) I'm taking a week or two off now though, for the Christmas period and the fact that my body is pretty tired. Most people notice really good growth during periods like this anyway, so that's what I'm hoping.

Anyway, how're you? What's new in your life? How're the kids and the pets?

Hey Dave, good to have you back! If you have pictures of Lori or Elle, I'd like to see some of those.

I'll send you a PM Elle :grin01:

And cheers Wade, appreciate it. And yeah no problem mate, which would you prefer, group shower or just the individual shots? :grin01:

Right on Dave. You're even smarter than me (that's saying a lot J/K).. I waited and let the Army get me into shape, did absolutely NO preparation, lol. It was a wild 9 weeks, I'll tell you that. But considering it was the first time/place that I'd ever really challenged myself physically, I think I did pretty well- Or maybe I should say my drill sergeants did pretty well with me. I ran the 2 mile in about 16 minutes to get out of basic training! I never thought I'd get there. Looking back it was all about the funnest thing I ever did, but I'm sure if you'd asked me at the time, I was just dying to be done with it!!

Have fun Dave, congrats on your discipline, you'll be a great officer I'm sure!
