I didnt really have time to do one of these while running around trying to save my last snake, but at least I have the time now.

My name is Jason, and I am a 22 year old grad student at Indiana University in Bloomington, studying secondary education. I just graduated from IU this spring with a degree in history, and I plan on teaching middle school/high school social studies, depending on where I can actually find a job.

I have a fair number of interests, which include fighter aircraft (hence my screenname), martial arts, music (I played with the IU Marching Hundred during my undergrad years), but most of all hockey (I am a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan, and have been as long as I can remember, and I love being a goalie during pickup games).

I always was fascinated with snakes, but I never had one as a kid due to the fact that my mom was always afraid that it would get out and crawl on her while she was sleeping. I really fell in love with the animals when I worked as a camp counselor at the St. Louis Zoo. While I didnt actually take care of any animals, we did get to handle several snakes in order to show the kids. It was a lot of fun.

At the moment, I dont have any snakes in my collection, but I do have one on hold at the moment from PJ and Jay. (http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87023 Third one down)

Thats it for now, Im sure I will be on the forums a fair amount as a new snake owner, thanks ahead of time for all the help.

Jason

Hi Jason, welcome.
That's a nice looking snake you're waiting for, good luck with her.

Welcome to the forum, Jason!! That's a beautiful snake you chose!! I have a ghost from PJCReptiles... I had the pleasure of meeting them at a reptile show in NH- PJ and Jay are both great people and you couldn't ask for better service or nicer people!

Ive studied several, although the one I spent the most time in was capoeira. I have also taken a few classes in hapkido, judo, and tai chi.
