Was just wondering today, while looking at some corn pics.....is there such thing as an Okeetee motley? I've never seen one, or a nice one at least. It came to mind because of a pic of an Okeetee with just a hint of motley up by it's head. It looked like, if the motley were more pronounced, that the circles would be nice thick black rings. Would look really neat. I'm surprised it's not something I've seen. :shrugs:

Indeed there is someone working on that very project and I hope to be the lucky reciepent of a pair of them next year :crazy02:

Don't suppose you could tell me who? Or is it a secret? :)

I didn't used to be into stripes, either, I _think_ because I grew up on garter snakes, so it just seemed so normal and usual. I've really gotten to like striped corns now, though. I think it takes a while to move from the normal to the more exotic both in terms of coloration and pattern.

i am pretty sure that the stripe geng reduces the black pegment( look at normal stripes and the black they have) so i am not sure if a oak stripe would look good. But a o0ak motley would just be like a normal motley with brighter oranges and it would be like a hurricane pattern right?

Indeed it is Carol, sorry, I wasn't trying to be secretive just in my excitement thinking about hopefully getting a pair I forgot to put that Carol is the one working on that project, I think the results so far have been nice.

I remember seeing some pictures of Carol's Okeetee Mots. I'm not sure how far along in the project she is but it'll probably take several generations (if not more) to get some nice borders out of them.
