As some of you may know, I work for an animal store and my manager said he ordered normal and "black" corns. Not a surprise as I've only ever seen normals, amels, anerys, snows, one normal motley, and one amel stripe the entore time I've been with the company.

When the snakes came in, you can imagine my surprise when the five "normals" turn out to be diffused (correct me if I'm wrong there).

So to the other two anerys. One looks like a normal anery, but this one I'm confused on. At first glance I thought he, too, was just an anery, but then I noticed the blank stomach. He doesn't seem very diffused and had he not come in a batch of what I think to be diffused, I probably would have wrote him off as a low expression motley. So, the question. What is he, and are the others diffused?

Hmm that'd make sense. I literally was just standing there holding him going "but he doesn't LOOK like a diffused.... but... motley?" I was so confused

I had a thing like that happen to me last year! A clutch hatched, and I was expecting tesseras, normals and stripes. So I picked up this baby who had a weird spotted pattern and a clear belly, and I was like, WHAT??? It took a minute for me to recognize motley when it was totally unexpected. There was no stripe gene :-( Not that motley is bad, but the snake was purchased as het stripe, and paired accordingly.

Lol thank you Nanci, that makes me feel better.

NH93, I already have a diffused that I've picked out as my favorite, but I keep telling myself I don't need another. Makes it really hard when I have to work with their cuteness nearly every day. :D

Hypnoctopus, thanks!

Thank you Ali Cat, thank you everyone lol :)
