Joxer the ghost!

Lolo

Surrounded by snakes
Thanks to member Shiari, I just became the new mommy of Joxer, a 3 year-old male ghost. :) I think he's beautiful, and seems to have a really sweet & goofy personality. Thank you so much Shiari, and I'll take good care of him - it was great meeting you too! Anyway, here he is...

Thanks everyone, and I agree he's a beauty. :) For once, he's actually a snake that represents even better in photos - I didn't even realize all the hidden colors in him, until looking through the pictures. Weird! And yes, I would like to breed him eventually... the only female corn I have is an Amel, who's more than big enough to get start (600g). But I know that wouldn't yield more than normals, so I might wait until I have a more suitable mate. Then again, I was hoping to do a breeding project at the school, so those could be "give-away" (to good homes only) babies. We'll see!

He looks great and very happy in his new home. :D

Yeah, he seems to be settling in nicely! He's been spending most of the time burrowed in his Aspen, but was very cool when I took him out - snuggled into my shirt immediately, as you said he likes to do. :D Thanks again, and I'll keep you updated on his progress...

If you want to breed him and make more pretty ghosties, I do have a female ghost. I am using her to test my anery male for hypo and amel this year, but for future years....

That's a definite possibility. :) I might just go ahead & breed him with the Amel for now, just to try my hand at corn breeding... probably just give the babies away, or keep a few for myself!

It was nice to meet you Lolo, looks like Joxer is settling in nicely!

It was nice meeting you (and the guys) too! Joxer is settling in nicely, although he refused his meal last night... might need a few more days to get comfortable, or he just didn't feel like eating. :shrugs: Did you ever have refusals with him, Shiari?

No, he never refused for me. But he's shy so I always put the mouse on a plate in his viv and left it there overnight.

Ah, I may have taken it out too soon! I put it on a paper towel, and only left it in there for a couple of hours... then gave it to my other adult corn. Next time I'll leave it overnight!

If he won't take it after a couple hours, re-heat it to nicely piping hot and put it in for overnight. He may just be stressed by the new move so wait another couple days and try again. I'll bet he eats for you then.

Just wanted to let you know that Joxer finally ate. :) I left the mouse on a paper plate last night, and it was gone when I woke up today - guess you were right! Oh, and I moved him into a 28qt tub, and put the new female in his old tank (since she's coming to my school). He seems pretty content in there, and I think he'll actually prefer the tight quarters. Thanks again, and I'll let you know about the mouse order we discussed.
