Hopefully picking up one next week some time and just wondering if anyone has any final words of advice for these guys. The one I'm picking up is a 2 year old male, can be temperamental at times, and is feeding on large mice.
Congrats! Your first Carpet? Be careful, they're more addicting than corns.

From what I've heard, out of the Carpets, Jungles can be the more tempermental ones. Then again, Carpets in general can be kinda bitey when younger.
I would recommend getting a hook, & use that to pull him out of the cage, & handle him (after he's settled in).
Is he eating large mice, or jumbo mice? I would think at 2yrs old, he should be on a bit bigger prey than that.
If he's been underfed, that could contribute to his grumpiness.
Be sure to post pics when you get him.
Jungles are one of my fave of the Carpets.

I have two.
BTW, I' have limited experience, there are others here that have way more experience than I do, hopefully they will chime in.
