just bought my first snake, so i guess here is my first question

God, I love the irony of reading people getting on someone about jumping down someones throat. (How does the saying go, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black)

On a side note in regards to the TS...

Did you every find out the temp of the cage?

Now I'll make a smart a$$ comment, just because...

If you're snake doesn't make it till Christmas then you won't need to worry about going home from Christmas to work for some extra money (I don't really mean that, just going along with the theme of other posterS)
 
Sorry I thought this was cleared up. I have a much nicer 10 gallon tank with UTH, digital thermometer, coconut hide, water dish, aspen substrate, and some sanded down sticks from outside(don't worry I cooked them for over an hour). Hopefully he will make it until Christmas.

My bad, I must have missed that post, I'm sure your snake will make it to Christmas, I was just trying to be a punk ;)

You only cooked them for one hour? You need to cook them for 15 hours... JUST KIDDING

If your snake's a hatchling, save your Christmas money to get a small freezer and order some mice! That set up will hold him till 'summer job' money rolls around!
 
Wouldn't ya just know I have a mini fridge fully equipped with the freezer just a couple of feet away. And guess what? Already has some frozen pinkies in it.

Don't even worry about it. I pretty much skipped the 2nd and 3rd pages of this thread, so I don't even know what you're apologizing for. :)
