You wake up, your eyes barely open, and have to be blinded by this:

The gal went through a shed... they are so long that I usually make the rather stupid mistake of thinking I imagined her intense colors and that she's really rather dark.
Truth be told, she still seems a tad darker than usual... but God knows if she's gravid or not.
I honestly have no idea anymore. I am waiting 'till the middle of April, if by that time she doesn't deliver... I'll assume she's not gravid.

Solaris is my senior resident here... with Spiritus gone... she's the oldest Boa member of my collection.
 
She is stunning. I'd say she is giving you a hard time like one of my girls. One day she looks gravid then 2 days later, I can't tell. Both my girls are due in mid April too. Good luck to you! And you have to post pictures if she has babies. I still want one but you live too far away. :cry:

I seriously planning on breeding and dropping by Daytona... hopefully on a yearly basis in the future.
Lately I have made up my mind and committed to both this, and alternative medicine...
I am not going to breed exclusively, and I won't have hundreds of animals... but it'll be a part of what I do- so... don't give up hope.
'Sides, you have amazing Boas over at the states...

As for giving us a hard time... yeah, first pregnancies especially are difficult to spot for sure on a Boa.
We'll have to wait and see.... I am keeping my fingers crossed for yours, and mine.

No no...don't think of it as a sacrifice but ...more a ..favour...yes thats sound better.
 
Yep, I can understand how difficult it must be to wake and have that shining in your eyes every morning.
She's beautiful Oren. I sure hope she's gravid and we get to see pics of some spectacular babies in the very near future.
 
Dang it!! While I waited for the pics to load I was thinking "Please be babies please be babies please be babies please be babies!!!" I hope the shed in some way foreshadows impending birth!! She's gorgeous!!

Salmons don't usually develop the orange tones... depends on the line and all, this is a Hog IsleXColombian- basically a Sunset cross/Sunset.

I really really hope I will see some babies... there's simply no way of knowing if the pregnancy isn't large(and considering the fact that this is a first pregnancy and that they copulated less than they could have... it's supposed to be small).

We'll see... the suspense if really annoying :eek:
