just picked up this girl...

so if i bred her to my snow what would the babys look like??? would they. look like her or like normal corns? and also, how much do creamsicles usually go for?

you should have creamsicles het anery A if I understood it right.
However they may look more like pure corns- if you indeed are going to sell them, please make sure to say that they may be hybrids

I agree. You might get a few normals, which would be known as "Rootbeers" because of the possibility of being hybrid.

Why would she get normals?
Creamsicle is homozygous for amelanism, Snow is too... where did the normal pop out of? or did I miss something?

A random normal is possible. It's not entirely unheard of. My creamsicle clutch last year had 4 creamsicles that hatched out and one rootbeer dead in the egg.

Like the others have said all creamsicles het. anery, although if you bred the offspring back to each other you'd get the creamsicle version of a snow. I'm not 100% sure on what they are called but I've heard both snowsicle and screamsicle used before, I don't know if they look any different from normal snows either because I've never actually seen one myself.

That means that one of the parents was only het for Amel. The only way Amelanism can be expressed is when it's homozygous. If both parents were full Amelanistic- that's the only gene the offspring could have received. Something here doesn't make sense.
4 out of a clutch is not "random".

because of the possibility of being hybrid.
There's no possibility of being hybrid. The snake in question was sold as a creamsicle, therefore, should be assumed IS a hybrid. My involvement in the discussion wasn't questioning that it was a creamsicle, merely clarifying the use of the word creamsicle. ;)

PS. And no, there shouldn't be any Normals at all in the Snow x Creamsicle pairing.

Ah, well if it was sold as a creamsicle, it probably is.
I like though. I really like some hybrids but I can't go around the morality of it. I'm a tad scared of the end result.
Integrates is as far as I go... and that's more because I don't really have the option of breeding clean Mexicana Kingsnakes... they are incredibly rare here.

If she was sold to you as a creamsicle, then she is a creamsicle. [begin monotone/repetitive voice]Creamsicle indicates a genetic mix between guttatus cornsnake and emoryi cornsnake. It is NOT a look or a color (other than being Amel) and I have yet to find anyone that can definitively identify a creamsicle (or non creamsicle) by looks.[/end monotone/repetitive voice] If you happen to breed her, you must sell the offspring as creamsicles as they will still be genetically hybrid.

That being said, she is a gorgeous looking snake and I agree worth the $50 if you're into hybrids.

LOL! You beat me to it! Yes, I think she is definitely worth $50. That's what I payed for mine. :)
