Kids pulled from "snake home"

So I worded my first post badly. Big deal, let it go.

No need for accuracy or accountability, is that it?

It's not my job to interpret what you're 'trying' to say when you make a post. If you aren't communicating what you actually mean, if you are in fact making statements that are not only flat out incorrect but not what you mean to say, how can I be blamed for not know that what you wrote is not what you meant?

If I'm not communicating clearly and concisely is that your fault or mine?

It works both ways. If you don't like it, pre-read your posts OR, and this is even better, don't post things that are not true.

Yeah, it was obvious by CodeRed's post that at least one person understood what I meant, it's just his "this takes from your credibility" comment and then insisting I come on and clarify for myself, followed by the snarky comment when I did... either this man truly believes I am so stupid that I don't know the difference between pee and poop or he's looking to start a fight over nothing, and knowing his track record...

LOL.

You forgot another option, one of many you simply did not consider.

Perhaps I am simply trying to educate the ignorant and arrogant young to the foolish and reputation dismantling things they say and do.

if you want lexie to consider other reasons than what she comes up with, then maybe you should have offered her all of the "many" other options she didnt consider in the first place

i would like to see this list as well as i am curious why what the rest of us interpret without any problem is so far fetched for you to see

look i found someone else that u need to chastise for not proofreading before pushing submit reply

lexie, do you really seriously mean to tell me that you honestly thing urine smells like poop?

My sense of smell is terrible and I can tell them apart quite easily.

I think you may be exaggerating just a tad for effect. When you do that it takes from your credibility.

So can we get back on topic now that the pee vs poop dilemma has been settled? Or at least leave Lexie out of it? Thank you!

One of the frustrating parts to me about this is that it was said the animal control workers found out how much some of these snakes and lizards were worth and took them home. Which is actually against AC policy. I don't know if they kept or sold them. But from what I have heard very few of the animals even went up for adoption.

I dunno... my first impression when I read this was that the house was NOT kept in order and that there were indications of neglect of the animals and unsanitary conditions...
There were also dead reptiles and rodents, plus feces and urine in many rooms of the home, according to city inspectors.
So, if the reptiles were neglected and the house was in the condition that I am thinking it was in, I can understand the need to remove the children.

IMO, it doesn't sound like AC did anything wrong... Just point it out if I missed something...

I do believe that they do do the right thing by removing the animals. From what I heard the woman admitted to being overwhelmed.
I don't believe AC was in the right by allowing their workers to take the animals home when it is against their own policy to do so. I know a few people who have reptile knowledge who went to AC after the news aired and all of the animals were gone already.

The thing that bothers me about the article is that they tend to focus on the fact that they're reptiles, not that they were being neglected and had poor living conditions and all...they only mention that. And the title just says "snake home" like that is bad enough to warrant removing the children.

I would have to say, that's what got me angry about the story too.

Where does it say that the A/C employees took the animals home??? It certainly doesn't say that in the article...

IF that happened, then I agree with you... it would set a bad precedent to have A/C be able to remove AND adopt animals they find in the homes of the people they're supposed to be assisting...

I agree! A "snake home" shouldn't be any worse than a "cat home", "dog home" or "fish home".
