I have no Accent
Fred you have a very beautiful family (human & scaly).
Yeah. Early on, I promised myself that I'd be MUCH different from my Dad. Don't get me wrong, my Dad is a great man, but because of his work (military) he didn't have a lot of time to do the "other" things with us.Very nice photo's!. It's good to see a family all participating in the fun times, especially with the reptiles. Not too may kids have the opportunity to grow up around different kinds of pets, so it's cool your getting everyone involved in the holding. When I was a kid I would have loved to see snakes like that, and I'm sure they'll grow to love them. Thanks for sharing!.
You should have seen that growth spurt with your own eyes, Tom!!! One day, she's a handful, the next, she's looking at ME with authority in her eyes. LOL.Very nice Fred, I really dig that blue beauty as well, and what a growth spurt! (Kids aren't to bad either, lol!)
I never knew you even liked, Kokoro, Catherine! LOL. Things are TIGHT, but not that tight... yet. Hopefully not ever! Of course, you can always come by and see her (and hold her if you dare... LOL).Awesome shots Fred! Its great to see the collection after so long. I have such a soft spot for Kokoro! If you ever want to sell her, you know who to call...![]()
Thanks, Jenne! I guess I'll keep them! :laugh:Beautiful girls, Fred! And handsome young men, Tonya!
Why thank you, my friend. I look at them every day and consider how truly blessed I am (human and scaly - LOL).Fred you have a very beautiful family (human & scaly).
Thanks! My niece wanted to KEEP Sunny. Now, being a good Uncle, I probably would have parted with any number of others that I have... but Sunny... NO WAY! LOL.Nice snakes. The sunglow in the first picture is sweet!
What's really great is that my "niece-in-law" actually bought her very own corn snake yesterday! LOL.
Thank you, Danielle! I certainly appreciate it!Your kids are so cute with all the snakes![]()
Maybe we should start a kids and snakes thread? I'd hate to sully your thread with my pics!
And you have the NERVE to say that Abby could possibly SULLY a thread. NEVER! She's absolutely gorgeous and the snakes that are beautiful in and of themselves just get prettier with her as an addition.Well ok then, here goes! These have been posted here before, but what the heck...
Here's Abby and her amel corn "Piglet":

I know what you mean. No father here, but luckily for me my mom was always willing to take me and my brother to do things. When we were little we used to drive around parking lots in Pittsburg, NH, in the spring and rescue all of the tadpoles that were beginning to dry out in puddles. Other times we would just go to the pet store and look at different geckos, or Anoles. Times like those I think back on as being vital for creating my interest and respect for nature, and I like that your teaching it to your children, too. Especially through cool things like Corn Snakes. Back in the day the only snakes I thought existed were Garter's and maybe an occasional Red-Belly, so things with colors like a Corn Snake I would have found un-real!.Yeah. That's really cool!. Like I always say; "you can't go wrong if you have a spare Don Soderburg lying around". Haven't been led astray yet!.The great thing is that my "niece-in-law" (she's actually my brother's niece by marriage) wanted to take home one of my snakes. BUT, she couldn't fly him home. So, I gave her my Cornsnake book by Don Soderberg to read up on so she can go buy one in Austin, TX. LOL.
Ya I know, "back in the day" seeing as how I'm only 21, but it seems like forever ago. Growing up in northern NH, where everything is at least 10 years out-dated, it seems like even longer, because back then we had a 13" black & white TV, no cable, and I couldn't tell you what the internet was until I was 12. That's why things like "tadpole saving" seem so long ago.LOL... "back in the day."
All we used to own was Anoles. They were the best, but I've never heard of "Invisible frogs". One time I got these things that were called "Dinosaurs", that ended up being just like sea-monkeys, but the package showed T-Rex looking creatures. False advertising at it's finest!.Well, back in MY day, we ordered "Invisible Frogs," "Sea-Monkeys" and "Chameleons" (really anoles) from the back pages within comic books. My mother and father NEVER took us to pet stores, so we kept what we found (poor things). Toads, ring-necked snakes, garter/ribbon snakes, and once, even a baby rattler. They weren't allowed in the house, so we kept them outside somewhere. Fortunately, because they were outside, most of them escaped and LIVED. If only I knew back then what I know today...

We did that too!!! They gave birth and lived for about a month before they all died.I remember I ordered some sea horses from the back of 'Boys Life' magazine. They gave birth upon arrival as promised. Then everybody died. I don't remember what all came with them, but it was a setup that was just doomed to fail..
