Larkspur -- 1.0 Dilute Anery Motley

jlindp

Ophidiophile.
Well, Mr. Lark has eaten, so I now feel comfortable posting pictures of him (Me? Superstitious?). He's my fifth baby from Don S., and as usual I am not disappointed AT ALL by this perfect little man. I absolutely LOVE his colors and pattern, especially on his head. I know he's definitely het for stripe, but I've yet to contact Don about any other hidden genes. I am so pleased with this guy, though he is a little flighty and has random bouts of hateling attitude. I did not intend to pick up another snake, but as soon as I saw him, I absolutely couldn't resist.

Well, here he is! I know I look forward to watching him progress, so hopefully you will too! :}

(Oh, and he's named after the flower that blooms in all shades of blue and pink.)

Thanks for looking!

Oh SNAP (and I never talk like that LOL)! He's stunning. Great pick up. Definitely post updates as he grows!

Wow, he's so frosty. I am so getting one or two of these. I'm glad Don S. has them, I think I'll get all my snakes from him.

Woah... that is a really unique combination of colors. I'm not sure if you saw this, but John F. (Zorro) just posted a thread for his Dilute Pewter, and in it also included a picture of his Dilute Anery Motley (pos homo hypo as well) who I believe is from Don as well. Might want to check it out!

Thanks everyone! I get delighted all over every time I look at him. I really can't wait to see how he turns out. I think he's my most visually interesting snake.

And yes, Jessica, I did see! All his snakes are gorgeous! I hope to make my own Dilute Anery/Ghost Motley bloods someday. And possibly Dilute Platinum bloods! :D

Wow! That's one stunning little snake. Awesome colouring :eek1: Looking forward to those progression pics.

He is definitely AMAZING! I really love the pink tones that are showing through on this animal, and the Dilute Anery Blood John posted, which is now... mine...! :grabbit: :sidestep:

Although pictures are amazing, when I saw him in real life yesterday I was soooo blown away. It's so hard to capture the true colors on camera when they are so subtle, and well.. the beauty is just indescribable! You did a great job of capturing the colors of your man.

The funny thing is that I was even thinking of naming him "Lark" because that is Colorado's state bird, but now after seeing this I might have to reconsider. :grin01:

Anyway, the cool pink/peach/red tones that show through on these animals really remind me of that Anery Blood (?) that you have who has SO MUCH pink! Do they seem at all similar in real life?

Whoo, exciting! I love the looks of the Dilute Granites. Add hypo and stripe, and I just may die a happy girl! :D

Yes, his colors are much prettier in real life. He's got more pink that I can't seem to capture with my camera (story of my life!). He looks very different from my pink Granite. I'm waiting on Mica to shed, so once that's done and Lark is out of quarantine, I plan on taking comparison shots of the two of the them and with Lark and my poss. homo (def. het) dilute ghost stripe. I'll post the results in this forum! :}

This boy is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Took him out and had the light streaming in from the window behind me to help catch all his pretty colors. I can't wait 'til he sheds!

Thank you!

And yes, he is a bit dark, but that's precisely why I picked him! I found his colors to be the prettiest I've seen. I hope he doesn't change too much, but just gets bigger.

I've been terrible at updating this boy! He's grown quite a bit. His colors are bit lighter, but have remained mostly unchanged. I LOVE the way he looks. His colors are just so crazy!
