That animal could be either one. I have had very light Lavenders and very dark Hypo Lavenders. That was before I learned that the trick is to label them when they are babies. As hatchlings, it is very obvious which are which in a clutch:

Even though there is a bit of variation even in the Hypo Lavenders in that clutch, the difference is MUCH less than between the darkest Hypo Lavender and the regular Lavenders. But as they got bigger, the differences weren't quite so easy to spot. With selective breeding using some of the lightest of the ones I've been producing, I'm hoping to change all that, but as always, this is a work in progress kind of project.
