So, I'm moving my babies up to a bigger size again. Going to the 16 qt. Sterlite tubs, which is bigger and cheaper than the critter keepers I was considering.
I know that lots of people use these, but my question is about the lids. They came with the blue plastic lids that 'snap' (audibly not visibly) shut at two ends, but I think my snakes are going to be able to get out at the middle of the lids where there is no closure. My 'rack' is higher than the tubs, so it won't help in any way to secure these.
Has anybody ever rigged a closure for these that works well? I was thinking to drill a few holes through the under side of the 'lip' that goes through the lid as well and then using some sort of pin there..
Any ideas?
