Magnum and Nightwing

I think these pics of Magnum really show the eastern king influence rather well.

A bit of progress with Nightwing. Although the pinky was still lizard scented, it was alive this time. Amazes me how a bit of anole odor can incite such a feeding response. He was terrified of the live pink until I rubbed a defrosted lizard all over it. Oh well, at least I know he can constrict! :grin01:

Yeah his meal is definitely at the LARGE end of the range :grin01:

It's the five gram pink and the ten gram snake!! Glad to see he's consented to eat again. And the just-fed Magnum is looking great! I never get tired of seeing these guys.

Yeah, from a top-down perspective Magnum looks like an Eastern with a funky head pattern. Being a fan of Eastern chains and FLs, I have to say that I really dig that boy.

I have nothing bad to say about Nightwing's pattern either. He's a very handsome lad. You really are a fearless feeder, Mike. That pink is huge! I'm a prey-size coward.

Thanks. The flash washed out his mahogany tones a bit, but the chain pattern is pretty evident....for now. I'm sure it will fade as he grows.

I'm happy to report he got it down and is resting comfortably :grin01:

Hm. Maybe Nightwing only knows food or predator (don't know what he thinks about you tho')? And once he was able to identify pinky with food via food-scent, he knew right what to do? You're educating him at a level he can deal with, is my guess. Pretty couple o' kings, there, btw.
