METALLICA!!!

i'm glad some1 had finally put disposable heroes on here...i was listening to the track last night and i was gonna post it this morning but it is so comical the way they put things in perspective...

My #1 Metallica song of all time is Hero Of The Day....I love the vocals and the way it starts slowly and builds up...it haunts me and actually gives me shivers....

I think my #2 would have to be Fuel....

Although I pretty much love any of their songs with Hetfield's low growly sexy voice.....

Metallica is one of my all time favorite bands. I have seen them in concert at least 8 times now.

In no particular order - a few of my favorites:
The Four Horsemen
Seek and Destroy
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Fade to Black
The Thing That Should Not Be
Sanitarium
Orion
Blackened
Frayed Ends of Sanity
Wherever I May Roam
Of Wolf and Man
No Leaf Clover

Off of Garage Inc - covers - I think they did a particularly good job with:
Sabbra Cadabra
Whiskey In the Jar
Astronomy - One of my all time favorite covers
Breadfan

Yes, Astronomy is an absolutely amazing cover.

Frankly, I think it's the second best cover ever recorded (Snake River Conspiracy's cover of Love Song being the first. :p)

Lest we forget:

Creeping Death
The Cure
Human
...And Justice For All

I eagerly await the day they put Disposable Heroes on Rock Band (Although with Metallica's deal with Activision, I'm not sure it'll ever happen), but my experience has taught me that Metallica songs are freakin' hard in that game. :p

After the abomination that was GH3, I'm not willing to trust Neversoft on this one. Harmonix is a company formed by guys in Boston area rock bands. I'm good with sticking with one product this time. :p

off topic a bit. but just got my tickets today for their show here in buffalo ny. 14 rows up from stage. me and about 12 of my best buds and its gonna be awesome.

Anyway, Metallica Metallica was the pivotal point in their career. Good album, but I don't think anything after it can even come close to comparing to their early BEST stuff. I don't think a top 5 list could get anything from after the black album.
Well, I will stand myself somewhat corrected. Finally sat down and listened to Death Magnetic and while I can't realistically put anything as high as a top five it definitely lives up to the hype that they've returned closer to their roots. Definitely back to Metallica!

This was a frivolous comment that I have chosen to delete.
