Moss Vendor?

Hello All,

The place we used to buy our sphagnum moss from has stopped stocking it. Does anyone have a good place they can recommend to purchase moss in bulk from?

Thanks, Skye

Check eBay, I know there's someone over in the UK who sells lots of moss on that (Cheaper than buying it from my local reptile store too - Even with Postage.)

Failing that approach a local gardening center maybe?.

I used Vanishing Jewels in the past. That was 3 years ago, and I'm in need as well. They have a web site (www.vanishingjewels.com) and email, but quite honestly they've never answered my two emails I've sent over the years. I just went ahead and called them for the order, and things were perfect. If memory serves, it was about $75 for a high quality compressed bale of sphagnum.

Hmmm, nevermind! Seems I may be looking for a new sphagnum moss supplier as well! Doh! Google search turned up nothing on them either other than reviews. ie. no new website or anything.

Well, now my recommendation would be to search out Dart Frog vendors/suppliers. Vanishing Jewels was one, and the sphagnum moss was used as part of the set up for their habitats. :shrugs: Dang, now what!
