Motley and Striped Tessera het Amel Cinder Babies

Nanci

Alien Lover
This is Baby A, female x 1, from the Heart Attack (Peppermint Stripe) x Daisy (Tessera het Amel Stripe) clutch. Dad belongs to Carol Huddleston, Mom belongs to Chip Bridges.

I'm 95% certain Baby A is a Tessera. The stripe breaks at the neck, and then has several divots in it, typical of the central stripe of the Tessera. The central stripe is also only two scales wide. The side pattern, while blurred, is not blurred enough for Stripe only.

I'm 95% certain Baby A is a Stripe. The side pattern is not busy enough for Tessera alone, and the belly is completely free of checks.

Edit: not a stripe. Daisy is heterozygous motley.

I love this project! I'd say definitely hom. Stripe. Try to sneak one to Daytona, ok? Shhh...it'll be a secret!

Baby B, I believe a Striped Tessera, female x 1.

Now ten pips, no amel noses...

Edit: not a stripe...

Nanci,

Nice looking hatchlings that you get to look after.

(Since I first saw babies photographed on those plates I have admired them.)

Isn't it cool how the first sister is silver, and the second one is gold? I wonder why...

Baby B is 9.4 grams!

Baby C is a Classic, het Amel Cinder Stripe, female x 1, 9.0 grams.

Baby E is a Classic, 8.2, and the first to pop MALE!

He didn't want to face life outside the egg.

A nice warm shower woke him up!

With 5 classics out, 10 pipped, and 3 unslit eggs, the chances of Amel showing up at this point are getting slim...

So- Baby F is throwing us for a loop. Motley? The rest of the clutch hatched Monday while we were on vacation, so they are very blue now.

Here's an odd one. Motley Tessera? Baby M has, not checks, but pigment in the exact center of his belly. And an atypical side pattern, for a Motley... Male.
