Mr. Brooks

Haven't been to the movies in a while, and I know it's been out a while, but this is one great movie. Of course I am a little twisted and my favorite movies are the Hannibal Lector series. Mr. Brooks was one calm/cool guy and Marshall wasn't bad either. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. Hope I'm not the only twisted one in snake land, susan

Nope...currently my favorite 2 flicks are "House of 1,000 Corpses" and ""The Devil's Rejects". The remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" is pretty incredible, too.

I am a BIG fan of psychological thrillers. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed in the majority of new psycho thrillers that have been released in the last 3-5 years. "Hostel" was just about the stupidest movie I have seen...But I am VERY interested in "Vacancy". That one looks spectacular...

This goes to show how much i'm into movies, I was expecting to see a nice king pic based on the thread title :shrugs:

Hah! Me too. I've never heard of the movie "Mr. Brooks". :shrugs: But I'm a big fan of "Silence of The Lambs". Lecter and Buffalo Bill are about the creepiest characters ever filmed. "Our Billy wants to change too..."

LOL, I thought if I ever got a king I would name it Mr. Brooks. The good thing about my twisted mind is I only go after 'free range rude' and I never go after friends, muahaha. :grin01: susan

I _love_ both of those, but especially The Devil's Rejects.

Nanci, you like the Thomas Harris books, I loved the ending of Hannibal, much better than the movie.
Jason, it's worth a few bucks to see Mr. Brooks, I'm cheap when it comes to movies, it's so expensive. susan

Agreed...The Devil's Rejects definitely(IMO) has a better plot-line. I think The House of 1,000 Corpses went too far, too fast. A bit more character and plot developement would have gone a LONG way. But it was one of Rob Zombie's earliest attempts at writing, directing AND producing, so you really can't fault him too much for overlooking a few minor details...it's still a good "popcorn and date" flick...especially for a musician and visual artist turned author and director...;)

House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects is the perfect double feature, like Kill Bill One and Two. Not to be outdone by the greatest movie and double feature of all time, Grindhouse...

Oh, no, it's not the money. I'm just not supposed to see rated R movies yet. ;)
