Multiple recessive mutations

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
Some would say the most sought after morphs are the triple recessive mutations ie Hypomelanistic lavender stripe, Hypomelanistic charcoal diffused (hypo pewter), Amel caramel diffused (sulfer), Amel anery or Amel charcoal diffused (Avalanche, whiteout) etc etc

How many of these tripple recessive mutations actually exist. Those were off the top of my head. And are there any quadruple recessive mutations in existence? Or does anyone have plans to prove out a quad recessive mutation?

Pictures of your triple recessives would be a nice touch.

There are quads out there, for example: Coral snow motleys, hypo lavender bloodred motleys etc. I can't help you with pictures though! :)

Would coral snow mots count? Well I suppose since theres hypo, amel, anery and motley in the mix. :shrugs:

As for hypo lavender blood mots - well if anyone has produced these Ill die and go to snaklet heaven! Rich - Can you help us out!?

Its easy to make up quad recessive muations, But I want to know which ones are ACTUALLy in existance. I understand if people want to keep hush hush on ground-breaking breeding plans etc.

Butter Motleys and golddust motleys are both triple recessive, I have one of each, but no new pictures, but we have all seen butter and golddust mots.

I didn't make any up! Well.....maybe the second one! :grin01: I can dream, can't i? :D

Dream on boy Ha Ha
If they exist (which I doubt)
I would sell my limbs!

Urgh this Hiku thing is toooo addictive!

I have a pair of butter stripes. I know there are opal mots out there. Dunno about opal stripes, but I think I've seen photos. There are definitely ghost bloods out there. There are striped anery bloods, amber mots, amber stripes, dilute ghosts, etc.... :)

I appreciate you taking the time to reply Dean but what about these quadruple mutations!? You of all people should be able to recite a few?

And what would your dream quad recessive corn morph be? Mine has already been mentioned, Hypolavmot(perferablycubed  )diffused. Now thats a mouthful and probably one HELL of a snake!

Little Bob - coral snow motley :wavey:

Did I mention he'll be breeding this year? :grin01:

Well now that Katie has posted I can recite a single example. ;) I really can't think of any other quadruple-homos that I've seen. :shrugs:

Dream quad? This could change every ten minutes. For now, I'll say: lava-sunkissed-caramel-"Z".

Oh dear god Mister
You had to take it too far
*sigh* wishful thinking!

Maybe I'll get lucky next year and get an amel/caramel/charcoal/hypo (not sure what you'd call that...) from the two pairings of quad hets I'll have...then again that's all the way in 2008...

Where's Rich when we need him? I'm sure he can come up with many from his imagination - if he doesn't already have them!

Exactly... Hopefully he takes a peek and can give us something to drool over.

Im sure if the likes of chuck and connie still participated in this site they could give some good answers...

I've got fingers crossed for coral snows and/or ultramel ghosts this year (hypo ultramel anery A's). I know its short one gene for a quad, but i'm 'cited ;) Don't know yet if im gonna be able to tell them apart tho lol, but still...

Quad het to quad het is what, 1 in 256 chance per egg to get a quad homozygous hatchling? Good luck :).

Year by year will see an increase in triple, quad, quint homozygous animals as more and more double and triple quads are bred together. Fun stuff!

Dream Quad?...Shoot, just seeing one would be neat hehe...

Indeed I understand their genetic makeup, but has the "dilute" gene spread further than anery mots yet? If not does anyone know who is working with this particular trait and where they plan on putting it to use?

Triples that I have:
