Around Here Somewhere....
As much as it pains me to do this, I really really really need to downsize my collection. I keep saying I need to or I am going to, but until now have not followed through on it.
With my new job - I have less time and less money than previously and the snakes are the ones suffering because of it. Some of them had been on an almost maintenance diet even before this happened, but now even more are - and I am running out of mice to feed them without knowing when I might have enough funds to buy enough mice to feed everyone.
So - don't feel sorry for me, please. It is my own fault for getting in over my head when things were better for me. I got carried away with all of this and should have been smarter along the way.
I am not going to get out of snakes completely - I have some that I cannot bring myself to part with - but in truth I need to at least cut the collection in half.
I don't really have any current pics of most of them so I will list what I have decided to let go so far and if requested I will try to get pics as soon as possible of individual snakes.
This list will probably grow in the next few weeks as I try to decide who to let go and I wanted to post it here first as I would prefer these animals go to someone I know and trust if at all possible.
I have a trio (1.2) of '10 hatchlings still left - hypo lavenders poss het anery/stripe - $150 plus shipping.
'09 0.1 hypo lavender poss het anery stripe - sibling of the above hatchlings. $50 plus shipping
I also have the parents of above hatchlings (actually also a trio 1.2) - '07 hypos het lavender/anery/stripe - $300 plus shipping.
'07 1.0 anery het lavender/bloodred - originally from Carol Huddleston. He is a small snake - long but small - eats well just doesn't seem to get much bigger - $75 plus shipping.
'07 0.1 amel zig zag - no known hets. $60 plus shipping
'07 1.0 snow zig zag - no known hets. (See a pattern with these three?) This guy is a little small - I have a hard time telling when he is in blue and if he eats in blue he regurges so that has been an issue for me! Sweet little snake. Wanted to breed with the anery and amel again to see if I could produce zigzag/aztec babies. $60 plus shipping
1.1 '08 normals poss het caramel/bloodred - originally from Susan Willis. These two are both on the small side due to maintenance diet off and on depending on my financial situation. - $80 plus shipping
'08 1.0 phantom - from Rich Z. No known hets. A little on the small side for an '08 but a fantastic eater. $60 plus shipping
'09 0.1 charcoal het hypo/motley - from Jeff Mohr. Very aggressive eater, but a slow grower. $50 plus shipping
'09 1.0 hypo poss het anery sunkissed - likes to be tease fed - $40 plus shipping
I also have a few left over normal/miami phase from my 2009 season. Only one male really looks Miami. These guys would make great starter pets for someone as they have been handled a lot. They are a little small due to maintenance diets. They are also all poss het amel (both parents proved out to be het amel). Just asking for cost of shipping on these guys. I have 2.2 available. ON HOLD
Also have an '08 male hypo lavender - no known hets. He was here on loan from a friend while she was out of town and I received him as a non-feeder. He has a few small kinks so I would want him to go to a pet only home. Sweet little guy and eats like a champ now although he is small for his age due to his slow/late start. Cost of shipping only.
