I'm not saying he could not handle one, I'm sure he could but he can't house a snake that will grow to be so large. Plus I don't think it's safe because he has a little brother who listens like a brick. I mean there are reasons other then the fact that such a snake is not a good starting snake. I mean you guys already proved my point that I was trying to make to him, ATB are not to be handled a lot. He wants a snake that he will be able to handle when he feels like it.
ATBs are amazing looking snakes and if he got the room I think that it would be fine but not now. I should have known that someone woul dtake his side. Understand that I'm not trying to push him away from anything I'm just being the voice of reason. I don't want him to jump into something and have the snake suffer. He will do some looking around and reading but for the most part I'll be picking up the slack and having to know more about the snake. Also, I don't want him to end up with this huge snake that needs two people to handle it just in case something happens between us. I hope all this is understandable, I try to see every angle before jumping in.
I don't want to push him toward one snake or another but I do want him to know what he is getting into which is the main reason for this thread. I want info on the idea and the snake so that I can understand. I think that a Bull snake would be a great snake for him but if he really wants an ATB or RTB then I'm just going to make sure that he sees everything I can make him read and understand everything. I', trying to think what is best for the snake over what is best for him.
