PRETZEL, my butter stripe, has not eaten. He was successfully eating a couple of weeks ago, nut now he will NOT. The fist time I did it like I had, he just didn't eat. Then a few days later, same thing, he didn't eat. Couple of days LATER I tried leaving him in a deli cup with him.ZIP. Yesterday I tried eventing with a lizard. Nope. He is only a marinate, and although they can go awhile without eating what next?!?!?
Tomorrow I'll try tease feeding. Any other suggestions?:confused:
 
I'd wait 7 days between attempted feedings. Maybe try feeding in his cage the next time. You could also try scenting the air beforehand, to get him out hunting for food. I know people who have troubles with other snakes eating (especially picky ball pythons, as I'm learning with mine...) do this!
Someone who has more experience may chime in, though. Good luck! And try not to worry *too* much. :)
 
My snake would not eat for a few weeks, because we had added a branch into the viv. As soon as we took it out Swirly was more active and searching for food. So my question have you added to the snakes viv lately?
 
He isn't in blue, but today I offered him a boiled pinkie and he took it!!! :)
Anyone know why he did this? Was he.just not hungry. The first and only time I fed him before this, he ate it plain, no boiling or deli cup.
????
