My Corn Snake has developed a noticeable thick to thin tail

The belly check are deep black and I haven't noticed a change in color. I'll go ahead and feed. Both my corns have been settled in and I only catch them out late at night. Usually after 10:00pm and then they freeze when hey see me and shortly seek cover by reversing into a hide. So, I don't get to see them much.

Thank you for the tips.

Nope, not going blue, today anyway. My adults are funny. When they are hungry, which is most of the time, the come out in the evening and loll along the fronts of their bins. They can tell, though, when it's a feeding day, and then they come right out and start surfing the fronts.

Following up here with some shed questions on my normal. So around January 14 he started the shed cycle. His black checks greyed and his colors went dull. Then about three days later he mostly cleared up. Here it is January 27 and his colors look hazy but belly checks look black. No shed. I went through all the substrate and nothing.

Is this normal? He's been hiding a lot, I have only seen him out once in the last week and a half and that was last night. I fed him a couple days before he turned grey. Nothing since. I check the enclosure temps regularly. Hot side has been around 81-84. Cold around 73-75 and he has mostly been hiding on the cold side.

He'll probably shed in the next day or two. They have this awkward clear phase after the blue, before they actually shed.

I was expecting this phase to last maybe a week since he cleared up. Now it's just about two weeks. Last time it was four weeks between sheds. It's now at six weeks. It had gained six grams between sheds and is still growing noticeably.

i wish i would have read this before i let kyle in my lap this morning. I said "what is that sme...oh god i think kyle just pooped in my lap." to which there was a lot of '"eww grossssss" from the girls while i was begging for wet wipes. pros of kids in diapers i guess

I'm usually really good with being able to tell whether or not mine looks like she's about to burst. A couple weeks ago she got me good- all over my cupped hand. I was horrified but as I didn't want it all over my couch/floor, I had to just wait and gag. Now I have a towel on standby justttt in case. In the words of GWB "Fool me once........shame on, shame on you... Fool me- ya can't get fooled again." :)
