My first Crested Geckos

Becca

Eternally Confused
I went to the Wasatch Reptile Expo today and came home with a gorgeous pair of Crested Geckos. I have been wanting a pair of these guys for a while now, and since they were set at a price that I could not turn down, I went ahead and got them. They're now chilling in their new home, so it is going to be a very long two weeks before I can start to handle them. :D

Cute cute! I might possibly may be getting a pair this weekend....a breeder pair, and the female is preggers.

Depending on your area, age, gender, morph & name of the breeder, you can buy one from anywhere between $20 to $600. Most unsexed babies usually go for around $40 to $80 though.

Did I already have a post on this thread? Could swear I did & I think a few of my other recent posts are missing too. Wonder if the server issues that were being worked on last night made some things go missing?

Cute little buggers :)

Thank you! I think so too. :D

Love, love, love Cresties. You have some especially adorable babies. Congrats!

Aww, thanks! I have to agree, but then again, I might be biased.

Lucky! That would be awesome to have an already gravid female. Congrats, if you do get them.

Very cute! Who did you get them from?

I got them from Josh Snyder at the Wasatch Reptile Expo. Great guy and some really great Geckos.

I was thinking about getting a pair of these. How much did you pair for your if I may ask?

I got Kika for $25 and Moko was $30....because he was having a deal that if you buy 2 you get $5 off. Moko would have originally been $35.

EPIC SETUP! I have heard sometime they don't like to have to come down to eat though...(Check with Bekers71 on that one)...there is a product that has super strong magnets and looks like a mushroom shelf that holds CGD/Water cups...they are pretty neat...if you are interested :)

Thank you!! That would work so much better than having their food on the ground. I have yet to see them down there eating and actually even offered them food from my finger last night...of which they took a few licks. With a shelf like that, I think it would keep their food and water in an area that they are comfortable with. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D

Those ledges do work well. The magnets are very strong & can be difficult to get apart when it first comes. You'll also want to make sure it's in the spot you really want it in the cage since it is fun to move one. But a full grown big gecko can jump all over it without it budging.
