My Oldest Daughter is Going to Be the Death of Me!

Rose hair nasty? Are you kidding me? You guys must've been messing with the wrong kind of rosea. There's a reason that Roseas are the #1 kept T in the world. Any T can be downright nasty if it is pissed off enough.

Well, the only reason I didn't disagree with Waldo is that during my time on Arachnoboards, I heard a more than a few people write in that their roseas were "psychos" who would be tame one minute and then completely vicious the next. Since I don't fequent there any more, I haven't heard otherwise. I have also heard this about B. vagans.

I have also heard (as in my post) that they are often pregnant when purchased. Thus my warning.

I guess I SHOULD have added that the Rosea that I had was VERY calm... that would have made things a little more even.

I could never keep spiders, dunno why. Not really scared of them, as long as I know it's there. I hate being jumped, and that's usually what happens when one lands on me :D

Jenneses mentioned..

I must commend you and Tim on raising such a responsible young lady!

I know, me and Jenn have made good efforts in raising the girls to be good people with consideration for others and living things ( conservation rather than envrionmentalism... ) .. It was not a tough decision for the oldest to make, to return the T return to its native environtment..

Despite what people seem to think about me, I am a good person, just not very nice...

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Great story Jenn,...
So, even though I swore we'd never have T's in the house, we'll have one by the end of January if my daughter has her way
Ahh, and that's where it starts. The real question is where will it end? As Brent pointed out there seems to be a Animal Collecting gene (to be referred to as AC) in the parents. From what little I know about genetics; This would appear to be the case:

Sire, homo AC x dam, homo AC= F1 homo AC ( If this gene turns out to be dom/co-dom) then I guess the F1 could be a Super AC. This would mean that the offspring is an even more avid Animal Collector than either parent ( it may take some time for this gene to fully express itself), only time will tell...
I wouldn't be suprised to see a website called T&J's T's soon...?

Um.. no... there's be no T' page added to the site... though we'll post pics of whatever monster bug she brings home.

I agree about the AC gene. I collected anything alive my whole life before settling on dogs, horses, cats, and eventually snakes. My daughter collects lizards.

I am quoting you on this and will revisit this quote in exactly one year...We should have a better idea about the AC gene and it's influence by then...:grin01:

My whole family is like that Nanci... only each of us collects something different. Sometimes, I think my children prefer collecting attitudes to animals though. lol

Now that?! I believe! (I think it comes from the Estrogen gene . . . :sidestep: )

D80
Another gene and sphere of influence ( stubborness) that in most likelihood has been passed onto the F1 female ( read: daughter).

lmao... Ah, so it's going to be like that is it? Alright... you're on. But I have to warn you, I'm stubborn.
But it appears Tim isn't! ( when it comes to animals) I think it took a whole half a day for you to go from " No T's in this house" to "OK just this one" and then later ..."OK which one do you want to buy".

One year I say...One year...
