My spidie collection...

I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVEN'T NOTICED THIS UNTIL NOW! Anyone notice something strange about my poor wee spidie? (And I never even noticed it when she arrived, I always thought she looked off balance)

She's missing her front left leg?

YEAH! Oh well... at least I get to document the regeneration process, that will be interesting to watch. I'm just glad it's all fused up properly and causes her no problems. Losing one or two legs generally doesn't. I have a friend with a 3 legged T and it manages just fine!

I wonder what her story is... shes WC...

Elle, I must say that I find it a bit funny when I read that you are terrified of spiders. Yet, you have sooooo many! They freak me out, but your pictures are amazing.

Btw, I have no clue about spiders but when you say they moult, does that mean they shed their hair or what exactly? Total newb question! lol

I know, I'm a freak! lol

If you want to know exactly what moulting is, look back a few pages. I posted the whole moutling sequence for Glitter Bumfluff, my B. auratum.

Elle those are some awesome spidies. My daughter has a rose hair that had a perfect molt. She put the molt in a different cage, which I knew nothing about.(she found it after I had left for work).
I came home the next morning saw a second spidie and said to myself "When the heck did she get another spider!!!"...LOL
Anyway, thanks for sharing those great spidies with us!!!

Those are spectacular! I didn't realize they flipped over to molt. Very interesting collection, thanks for sharing!

Kalypso moulted! Starting to look like a REAL Bohemi...
