do you have any other pics? Some full body, and other light options to see if it looks any different (unless this one is close to color in real life).

To me it looks like either amel or butter.

I'm thinking butter unless the colors are way off true. That doesn't look like a normal amel to me. Then again, what do I know? I am very new to all this. So I look forward to the expert opinions.

I'd have to say Butter or Amel, too. You'll have to see how his colors mature. Congrats on the new addition!

thanks for all your replies this pic doesnt do it justice that is for sure but i can't seem to get a better pic to up load. it does have alot of yellow in it and almost an orange. my brother has a butter and it doesn't look any thing like it. btw i bought another corn snake today (i'm hooked) the new one brings my count up to 7 corn snakes. i don't know what it is either. that is the problem with buying from a pet store. no one there has a clue about any of the animals they sell. going to a reptile show next weekend. who knows what i will come home with. but i will know what im buying. my boyfriend hasn't seen the one i got on mon and he doesn't even know about the one i got today. i will post a pic of the new one soon.

Looks like an amel. But sometimes amels with butter (caramel) in their ancestry will show more yellow than other amels. So it could be het caramel if it is unusually yellow. But some amels with creamsicle in their ancestry will also show more yellow / orange. No way to tell without a history - unless you breed it and some butters come out.

I don't know if it helps any, but my amel turns this color when he's in shed. Could that be it? Either way, a very pretty snake there :)

there is a chance of shedding when i got it on monday the colors were a lot brighter and then when i went to take pics this is what i got. going to a reptile show next weekend and think it is going with me so i can find out. i agree though it is a very pretty snake that is why i couldn't leave it at the pet store. my boyfriend wants to have 1 of every color. that sounded a little crazy to me at first but now i'm not so sure. i can't seem to leave the unusual ones behind. we are hoping to find a charcoal or a pewter at the show next week end and i want a strip of any color. just really like the strips

One of every color, huh? I wonder how many that would be, even with current possibilities - let along all those varieties that are "in the works." Well, have fun shopping!

I believe it's somewhere around 180 different morphs...
