Congrats on your new addition!
If I were you'd I'd keep a close eye on her with those hides. If you notice she is favoring the cave all the time and never in the log, you may want to replace it with another cave. Most people suggest using identical hides, because they will sacrifice other needs to be in a hide that they are secure in. Many don't like the logs because of the open ends

Your set up looks pretty good though.
As far as the biting goes, I haven't had either of my ball pythons attempt to bite me, and that's with one of them being pretty grumpy. If you're very nervous about it, then I would just suggest you handling her yourself for a week or two, until you know her personality a little better. I realize that may not work what with her being primarily your son's snake. Just make sure he knows that ball pythons tend to be more head shy than corns.
Also, definitely heat your feeders up with a blow dryer before feeding

Mine won't eat otherwise. I would also use tongs to feed, since if your hand is warmer than the feeder, you start to get a hungry snake eye-ing up your hand!
I agree with what everyone has said about your husbandry - although aspen is fine to use as a substrate. I agree that with YOUR setup it may be a little dry, but that's just because you have her in a tank
Anyways, good luck with your new girl!
