New Boa

Absolutly gorgeous! Very pretty pastel looking boa. Hows the other two BCI's you bought a while back? Have they coloured up yet?

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

Elle, the little pastel boy I got just after I "lost" Simon was traded for this one. I liked Kumoroa, but we never really bonded, so I gave him up in exchange for this one.

The little girl I got(Simon's younger sister, actually) I gave to a good friend of mine who desperately wanted a boa, and also had a bond with Simon before he was killed...

More Photos...

I went and set up my tripod and a couple studio lights, and got a couple more pictures of Diamond, that really show off his color. He was very cooperative. These shots really show his natural color well...

For these shots, I had a metal halide light clamped to my tripod below the camera to give those nice low angle shadows, and I used a bounce reflector to cut the sharpness of the shadows down just a touch. This lighting shows off his natural color WAY better than using strobe-flash lighting. But the exposures are longer...almost a full second, so your subject either needs to cooperate and sit very still or not be alive. Diamond was very cooperative...
