New BP

I was given this HUGE (over 4 ft.), gorgeous, sweet-tempered male normal Ball Python, along w/his habitat, this morning. He's 3 years old, and the picture of good health:

Now, my question. He has only ever eaten live, and I hear that BPs can be a bear to transition to F/T. Anyone have any tips or advice?

Wow- what a big boy!!! Good luck getting him to switch. Maybe the previous owners never tried hard, or knew all the tricks.

The previous owner never tried. Apparently, he had another snake who ate only live, and after trying to convert the snake to F/T, it wouldn't eat anything after that. I think it eventually starved to death :-(. Anyway, this man said that because of that outcome, he's never even tried to convert this guy. I hope I can. I really love this big boy! Like every BP I've ever met, he's slow, gentle and curious.

Yeah, he's big for a BP (at least any BPs I've ever seen). I might have to find a giant's name for him. Either that or "Little John" :). Not "Goliath" though. I've never liked that name.
