Hi! My name is Jeff, I live on the northeast of Indianapolis. I'm new to corn snakes, but have always loved reptiles. I have a Kenyan Sand Boa, Red Tail Boa, and the newest edition is my two baby corns. One is a snow, and I'm not quite sure what the other is. They're still too small to sex. I can't wait to find out. I sell exotics and reptiles at many shows around my area. I'm sure I'm going to have a ton of questions, and my first is, what morph is the photo below? I thought it might have been Charcoal, but it has grey irises. There are so many pattern and color morphs it's nearly impossible to keep track. Also, what is with the signatures? I notice everyone has something along the lines of (0.0.1 Snow, 1.0 Bloodred, etc). Could that please be explained to me? Thanks guys! I can't wait to get to know everyone and learn as much as possible about these beautiful creatures!

Hi! Welcome to the forum! Yes, the little one you have pictured is an anery. The numbers (explained elsewhere in various FAQs) indicate gender: male.female.unknown.
 
Oh wow, it was easy. My girlfriend (the one that got me into it) said she didn't want too, because you can break their backs. Turns out, I have two healthy boys... Maybe I can find a charcoal to stud out the snow to, I'd love to have a blizzard.
 
Get a phantom, that way you can get a huge range of morphs in the F2. You do know that the offspring of a charcoal to snow will be normals het for charcoal, amel, and anery, right?

My name is Theresa and I live on the northwest side of Indianapolis! I never did get a corn snake, but I stayed on the forum because of all the great people here. They have great advice that applies to many different snakes. Plus collectively, they have ALL the snakes!

I could've swore it blizzard was a possibility from snow/charcoal. Hrm... I need to look more into this stuff. I haven't done genetics since my sophomore year in high school. :rofl:

Do you have any snakes of your own? I just got the two baby corns, and I've had a Kenyan Sand Boa for a while. It's becoming an addiction very quickly.

Snow is Amel+Anery
Charcoal is Anery B
And Blizzard is Amel + Anery B
Wouldn't there be a chance? lol Maybe I'm going loopy.
 
I found the corn snake calc. I understand now. Co-dominants and recessives. I forgot only one piece is passed on. I would have to wait at minimum two generations.
 
Yeah, he's beautiful, love the iridescence. It's almost impossible to get the snow to sit still long enough to take a picture. I'm actually located in Fishers/Noblesville right on the line, off 37. I'll be at the Noblesville Reptile and Exotics show at the 4H fairgrounds on Sunday. It's located behind the Walmart on 37 in Noblesville. If you see Sugar Gliders, that'll be my booth.
 
Too true! You can get pinkies for like $0.33, fuzzies for $.50, etc. We sell our excess aquariums for like $5. Shows are ALWAYS cheaper than stores. I've even seen Uncle Bill's supplying their store from our show.
