New Owner, Some Feeding Questions

Hi everyone!

I just got my first ever corn from SMR and im in love. Shes an extreme okeetee and shes a pretty one. Im just having some new owner questions that shouldn't be too hard to answer.

Ok so I got her a month ago and fed her a pinky and she took it right away no problems. She was still roaming around her feeding tank but I thought it best to only give 1 pinky as her first meal. Ever since then I would feed her 2 pinkies every 7 days. Now I know they have fast metabolisms at an early age so my question is.. Would it be better to feed her 1 pinky every 4-5 days rather than 2 every 7? And if so would that be ok? Thanks!
 
I can't help you on this one. I think what you are doing now sounds like it is working just fine. I hope one of the more experienced people will speak up.
 
If you are feeding her 2 pinkies every 7 days it may be time to bump her up to the next size prey item. If what you are doing now works best for you and all that goes in is coming out and there are no problems then I would stick with what works best for you :)
 
Thanks for the feedback guys. Just wanna make sure im doing everything right so she grows up healthy. Another small question, how would you spot clean pee if you cant see it lol? Should i be changing the entire substrate out every month or so rather then spot cleaning it?
 
Haha yea I saw white bird like poo in one of her hidy spots and I was like... what is that lol... and I thought I did my research lol. Well I guess ill keep her on the 2 pinkies a week and change to the next size up (fuzzies?) when the time comes.
